On MSNBC “award-winning investigative journalist” (from Politico) Heidi Przybyla said this recently:
Remember when Trump ran in 2016? A lot of the mainline evangelicals wanted nothing to do with the divorced real-estate mogul who cheated on his wife with a porn star and all of that, right? So what happened was, he was surrounded by this more extremist element. You’re going to hear words like Christian Nationalism, like the new apostolic reformation. These are groups that you should get very schooled on because they have a lot of power in Trump’s circle. And the one thing that unites all of them because there’s many different groups orbiting Trump but the thing that unites them as Christian nationalists — not Christians by the way, because Christian nationalist is very different — is that they believe their rights as Americans don’t come from any earthly authority. They don’t come from Congress, they don’t come from the Supreme Court, they come from God.
Horrors! Does this mean that a Christian nationalist believes what the Declaration of Independence said — that our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness come not from King George III, but from our Creator? How does that separate a Christian nationalist from any other ordinary Christian? What is she trying to say?

“...is that they believe their rights as Americans don’t come from any earthly authority. They don’t come from Congress, they don’t come from the Supreme Court, they come from God.”
That belief is enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and served as justifiction for cutting loose from England.
Isn’t Heidi Przybyla a name out of the old Mad Magazine?
It’s basic human nature.
EVERYWHERE.
I don't like her.
bkmk
No such thing - it’s the latest new label to attack / malign people who support religious liberty, oppose killing babies and believe they should be protected, etc.
I don’t get it — I live in a very conservative part of a red state, am a member of a very conservative church, travel in circles where I meet lots of other conservative Christians of various denominations, and I’ve never even heard of “Christian Nationalism — except from leftist media.
The founding document of this country says that. "They are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights."
She doesn't know something this basic about American civics? Yet is being portrayed as an expert?
Yes - it is a made up term by the Left.
This isn’t a term, but it is similar to the reactions to the supposed “outrage” by Christians that Starbucks decided to have a plain coffee red cup instead of a red cup with snowflakes on it - saying it was an “antiChristian” move and that Christians were up in arms. No we weren’t. Nobody was. The origins of that were a single video posted on social media by one guy and it wasn’t even clear he was being serious. They used that to collectively attack all Christians to create an illusion that we were going berserk over a coffee cup that was solid red vs. red with snowflakes on it. People on social media posting how embarrassed they were of their fellow Christians acting like this, etc...running to separate themselves from people who did not even exist. People finally started asking the question: “Do you actually see anyone posting about being mad about the red cup, or just people reacting to people supposedly being mad about the red cup?” But by that point, the damage was done. The media had spread their narrative far and wide.
she approved of Nero burning Rome and blaming the Christians
Guess I’m a Jewish Nationalist:-)
Demonstrating how to say you don’t understand the founding of this nation without saying you don’t understand the founding of this nation.
There’s this word....’inalienable’. I think I read it somewhere.
What if you are a Russian who loves Russia, and is a Christian?
Or Ukranian . . .
Or Texan . . .
They won’t be “fearing” us much longer.
They’re importing an army of foreigners to ‘control’ us through the southern border. It won’t be long until they can assemble them and get to work on us.
Count on it.
Except in the mind of a lot of today’s democrats…
Jesus said, "“My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” John 18:36
America has been given up to depravity. Soon, the US will be severely persecuting Christians. Jesus said we would be persecuted in ALL nations. Believe in God.
