The area around Mar-a-Lago is a high rent district. There are some homes valued at 8 and 9 figures. The idea that Mar-a-Lago was only valued at $18M at the time of the loans is laughable. It is a big piece of property. Eyeballing the map and Zillow, 30 homes at $20M+ would easily fit on the property.

I have never heard of any bank lending on real estate without the results of an appraisal by an uninterested third-party on file. They may do that for a small home equity loan, but never for the kind of financing Trump sought.

All of this to say that, in the world of real estate, there are a million different factors that go into valuing something. Based on those criteria, there are likely countless different values that can be set on a particular property. What’s more, values can be volatile, particularly in the high-end markets. Real estate, like most businesses, can be unpredictable, sometimes very much so. This makes what NY AG Letitia James has done to Donald Trump especially unconscionable.

AG Letitia James is common trash - and stupid at that. She's one more reason to ONLY admit people to law school who earned their spot based on merit... Also, every person who received 'help' from that evil monster Goerge Soros should be reviewed for competency.
