A new ranking of presidents by a group of self-styled experts determined that Abraham Lincoln is America's greatest president, while Donald Trump ranks last.
Lincoln topped the list of presidents in the 2024 Presidential Greatness Project expert survey for the third time, following his top spot in the rankings in the 2015 and 2018 versions of the survey.
According to a release from the Presidential Greatness Project, which touts itself as the "foremost organization of social science experts in presidential politics," the 154 respondents to the survey included "current and recent members of the Presidents & Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association…as well as scholars who have recently published peer-reviewed academic research in key related scholarly journals or academic presses."

I’d bet that the persons responsible for this list are the same people who determine who gets inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
The experts also adore Lincoln...
Not because Lincoln ended slavery, but, because Lincoln usurped dictatorial war powers to end slavery.
Totalitarian regimes are all the same. They rewrite history, erase all knowledge of the truth and what really occurred. Worse, the new generations will never be taught history as it was. We’ve all seen it before in the old Soviet Union, China, etc. It will take decades to get that back, if ever.

From a story yesterday, Biden achieves ‘greatness’ because he ‘beat’ Donald Trump. Kind of like Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize.
Beating Trump is a far greater thing than say winning the Cold War like Reagan. /s
Just shows that “experts” aren’t really experts. Also shows that Democrats have destroyed another profession, that of historian. We already know they destroyed academia, and that is where I think historians come from.
Jackson would have done the same thing, maybe more. My problems with Lincoln are his economic polices, and his ineptness in picking Generals.
Washington, Jackson, Polk and Reagan.
Reagan won the Cold War, as you noted.
Trump kept the peace in a very dysfunctional world.
Now wars (or threats of wars) are breaking out all over. Nevertheless, Biden is better than either Reagan or Trump. That D after Biden’s name sure is magical.
