Tuesday marks Wisconsin’s spring primary — the first election in what is shaping up to be a busy 2024 electoral year.

The election, to narrow the list of candidates running for nonpartisan county, municipal and school board seats in the April 2 general election, is typically a low-key affair, as few races draw enough candidates to require a primary. So, when they are done “counting” the votes, who takes office?
If no one is placed in office by this vote-process, it is not a Constitutional election.
Rather, it is a popularity contest.

We’re not part of the ‘in crowd’ where I live...or you know I’d be there! Haven’t missed a vote since I was 18 years old. :)

District 13: (Dane County) Incumbent Jay Brower faces challengers Travis Austin and Ronan Rataj. The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election.

District 36: (Dane County) Three candidates — David Peterson, Andrew McKinney and Loreen Gage — are running to fill the seat of Melissa Ratcliff, who is now in the state Assembly. Two will advance.

Monona City Council: Monona City Council members Brian Holmquist, Patrick DePula and Teresa Radermacher are running for reelection to three seats on the council. They are being challenged by Rachel Kugle, Jerry Thompson, Candyce VerBurg and Jeff VerBurg. One will be eliminated, and the other six will advance to the general election.

Sun Prairie City Council: Three candidates are running for Sun Prairie City Council District 2: Bill Baker, Matthew Hill and Santiago Rosas. The top two will advance.

Middleton-Cross Plains School Board: Four candidates — David Bell, Nate Day, Katie Frank and Lauren Rogers — are running for the District 4 seat. The top two vote-getters will meet in the general election.

(These are all Dane County races.)

Lots of stupid people will vote for evil democrats. Stupid whites will relieve themselves of white guilt and vote for the POC who is the most radical.

I've been voting in Wisconsin since I moved to the Cream City when I was 19 years old. That was a long time ago.

I will be voting for #45 for the third time this year. FUJB!
