Tulsi Gabbard Met With Trump, Says She's Open to Having Discussion About Being VP
RedState ^ | February 19, 2024 | Levon Satamian

Former President Donald Trump has been in conversation with former Congresswoman and 2020 presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI).

The discussions have primarily revolved around matters of foreign policy, with the possibility of serving as Trump's vice-presidential candidate also under consideration.

Per the Washington Post:

Former president Donald Trump and top advisers have spoken with former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard about foreign policy and how the Defense Department should be run in a second Trump term, according to people familiar with the matter.

Gabbard is a combat veteran and could serve well in Trump's administration. She served on the following committees when she was in Congress: Judiciary, Intelligence, Financial Services, Foreign Affairs, Energy and Commerce, Education and Labor, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Armed Services.

Gabbard told Fox News about her willingness to entertain discussions with Trump about potentially joining his 2024 presidential ticket as a running mate.

SNIP)>>>>

She ran for president in 2020 and had issues with the Democrat National Committee throughout her campaign. Unlike Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in 2016, Gabbard made her feelings known and made sure that the voters knew that the DNC tried everything to stop her from debating, as well as Big Tech censoring her.

SNIP>>>>>

There has been talk that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (I) is considering Gabbard as a running mate. She has the experience, is anti-war, and is a moderate Democrat. However, due to the Democrats moving more to the far left, Gabbard is perceived as being outside of the party's mainstream. Those who feel left out of the current Democrat Party and are looking for an alternative could vote for the Trump/Gababrd or RFK Jr./Gabbard ticket, which would result in fewer votes for President Biden.

of course it’s the nevertrumping site redstate and a nevertrumping desantis supporter that would continue to push unsubstantiated stuff that would reflect negatively against Trump and would kill support for Trump as truth and factual things that will happen...

but stuff that desanctimonious actually does, that’s bad, gets a pass or praise as great governance....

From the pro-tulsiantifa comments on this post, i haveta just shake my head and wonder what the hell became of this site. Absolutely disgusting. So discouraging to see so many willingly pump a communist democrat for the preceived reward of short term ‘gain’ of getting Trump in office again when it would be obvious he STILL has not learned his lesson. So weak and pathetic.

Turning an article about Tulsi Gabbard, Donald Trump and a splash of RFK Jr. into:

OK. I can see that you’re sour on Abbott, and you’ve got your reasons. I still think he’s a great fit.

Just curious — whom does txeagle favor in the VP slot? It might be instructive for me.

How many of Don’s Death Jabs and boosters did you take? It might explain the projection in your posts.

Unlike your orange deity who is worshipped by you and some here on FR, he hasn’t turned his governorship over to a medical hack and ruined the Florida economy and schools. He hasn’t had Kim Kardashian come in and advise him on criminal justice or anything else. He hasn’t backpeddled on taking on woke corporations. He hasn’t handled out cash to compensate for poor policy decisions and he hasn’t added the equivalent of $7.8 trillion dollars to the Florida state debt. He doesn’t even have superhero trading cards.

What he has done is practice fiscal responibility, improved education, cracked down on voter fraud; taken on corporations, organizations and unions pushing woke leftist ideologies; given citizens tax breaks, handled hurricane disasters masterfully, supported police and susccessfully worked to reduce crime, and grew the Florida economy, to name a few.

As it’s Trump’s call, I can go along with Gabbard if she’s the pick.

Being a former Dem pol is a plus...if, IF she follows & pushes Trump’s platform.

Noem would be okay as well but Noem has some baggage, too. All politicians have baggage.

The backpacker should read some [not-so] current news.

Ron D is no longer a real candidate.

Tulsi could bring in more independents and moderate democrats than Noem.

This site is fine. Some posters are simply commenting on the issue of how Trump can draw votes from the other side to win. Pure as wind driven snow conservatives are not the majority of voters in general election. Mike Pence is a “conservative” accepted by all conservatives in 2020. That did not turn out well.

Sticking your finger in the air and appeasing the least common denominator for votes is why we are $34 trillion in debt/future liabilities debased devaluation of our currency, etc...
We don’t need Pop Stars, we need people who are fiscally sound as well as socially rational and logical leaders. That chick from Hawaii who gets confused with beach photos of that other chick from the culinary contest shows is neither. If you think that is what we need though then have fun with the current destructive status quo political “Pop Stars”.

I don’t think Trump should pick either Gabbard or RFK, Jr. for VP unless it’s the only way he can beat the Rat fraud machine. I don’t underestimate that. That said, I could see Trump naming Gabbard as Secretary of Defense, or RFK, Jr. as head of the FDA. Those moves would expand Trump’s base of support and help him govern.

” I hope he chooses Abbott.”

Interesting. Texas is safe for Trump for elector votes but Abbot is very good on border issues. For the “woke crowd” he is in a wheel chair. Makes it a little hard to attack him.
