Democrats being democrats, ruin business for the cause of climate change.

The fire in Lahaina was not caused by tourists.

New taxes are always needed to fund the most important stuff. Why aren’t existing taxes used to fund the important stuff first.

The fire in Lahaina was not caused by tourists.

Or climate change.

Was anyone ever held accountable?

How much of that expected $68 million ends up in the Hawaii Democrat Party’s treasury or with their “faithful” group of lobbyists?

Why not charge the tourists $200, or $1,000. That way Hawaii can get rich quicker.

I sure wish Congress would begin proceedings to kick HAWAII’S “paradise” ass out of the union. It’s not a “paradise”, it’s a pain in the ass. Especially their Nazi run courts who believe they have the right to overturn the SCOTUS. They are just a bunch of black robed THUGS.

For anyone wanting to go to Hawaii, this will not stop them. Now, if they decided on a higher amount and/or making it a per night fee, they might lose small percentage of tourists.

A card is slipped under your motel door:

“The sun came up. You owe The Democrat Party, $25.”

10-night trip, peak summer travel season
$12,296: Four-star beachfront resort, with a 10-day rental car.

$9,286: Three-star hotel, with a 10-minute walk to the beach and a five-day rental car.

$6,261 Low-cost condo with walking distance to the beach, tightly budgeted meals and a five-day rental car.

Seven-night trip, shoulder season
$7,602: Four-star beachfront resort, with a seven-day rental car.

$5,792: Three-star hotel, with a 10-minute walk to beach, and a rental car for two days.

$3,892: Low-cost condo with walking distance to the beach, tightly budgeted meals and a two-day rental car.

$25/$50 to the tourists ... Not much.. They are crazy..

Having lived in rural Hawaii ( Big Island) for
the last 24 years, I’ll share some insights.
This is all about State Taxes. They have made it so expensive to live here by Taxation and regulation, that all the young people are leaving, We have a huge underground Cash only economy, and the government won’t cut ANYTHING!
Taxbase going away, and they won’t cut services because auntie, uncle, or cousin may lose their cushy government job.
You can’t tax Locals more because most are not well off. The very rich and smart retirees don’t pay state taxes.
only easy target is Tourists.
Price out a week at any outer Island resort and it is obvious, tourists are well off, and will pay.

$1000/person per day would be better still. That way Hawaiians could preserve their beaches and lava fields from tourists completely and starve because the state’s only significant industry is the tourist industry. Been there Done that found it wasn’t any better than mainland beaches, just one heck of a lot more expensive and the populace had an unearned inflated sense of self importance.

Better still give the whole place to Japan. They wanted it 83 years ago let them have it now along with all of the welfare types that surf all day and do nothing all night. We get rid of a liberal state and Japan gets a money drain. WIN WIN. And they could cut down on CO2 emissions because they couldn’t afford to buy the diesel that powers their electricity.

Biting the hand that feeds them.

Hawaii would not have a pot to pee in weren’t it for tourists and the military.

I lived in Hawaii at age 5/6. Attended Pearl Harbor Elementary School for kindergarten/1st grade. Compliments of my dad working at CinCPacFlt for a couple years. I've never been back. The place is unattractive politically. No point in helping them finance their stupidity.
