Biden admin braces for possible Trump win, installs 'roadblocks' to stop him from reshaping government: Report

resident Biden's administration and liberal supporters in Washington are bracing for a possible Donald Trump victory in November by installing "roadblocks" to limit the latter's ability to fire thousands of government workers, according to a new report.

The Associated Press reported that a cabal of left-leaning experts, legal advisers and others are confident Biden will be re-elected but are urging him to prepare for the worst: another Trump presidency beginning in 2025.

"My impression is the Biden administration is taking very seriously that potential threat and is trying to do things now," Michael Linden, former executive associate director of the White House Office of Management and Budget under Biden, told the AP. Although he added there was no "magic bullet" to stop Trump if he took office again. "Nobody should be under any illusion that there’s anything that this president can do in advance to prevent the next president from doing things that are very damaging, potentially catastrophically."

The AP reported the "Office of Personnel Management, the federal government’s chief human resources agency, will finalize a rule by April against reclassifying tens of thousands of workers so they can be more easily fired, according to OPM spokesperson Viet Tran." A Biden campaign spokesperson said Trump was "already telegraphing plays straight out of the authoritarian playbook — gutting the civil service of people he deems disloyal and plotting revenge on his political enemies."

A hypothetical Trump administration would take months or even years to unwind it, the AP wrote. The wire service added that other options for Biden to "thwart" a potential succession could include "promoting expanded collective bargaining agreements with federal personnel to beginning the complicated bureaucratic task of designating more government posts as policy-dedicated, thus making workers harder to fire."

GOP ? LOL

They are mostly democrats that will stand in the way. Even help with more impeachment proceedings against Trump when he threatens the deep state system. Trump needs genuine conservatives. As corrupt as the system is then it is going to be very hard for Trump. But I am sure that he will give it his all.

Of my family that didn’t immigrate to the US in the early 1900’s had to live under Nazism or Communism.

In the mid 80’s went to visit those relatives who stayed behind.

What they said they went through in the past is what we are seeing now.

Same roadblocks as last time. Hopefully, Trump learned that lesson.

But it’ll only work for (or against) those who actually OWN property or PAY income taxes.

This is all the more reason for Trump to declare an invasion and suspend habeas corpus when he takes office. Let them guess what comes next...

Agree here. If he wins, we surmise he may have an R House and Senate. That gives him two years until the eneMedia’s campaign against him again ushers in another D House, whereupon their first issue will be another impeachment. This time around, if the RINO caucus hasn’t been purged, a sufficient number number of Senate Rs may vote for removal. The only hope would a VP as impeachment insurance. Maybe Vivek, maybe Grinell, but someone would would be able to carry the mantle.

“use Executive Orders to relocate the big Fed agencies via their various divisions and scatter them around the country in small-town rural areas”

I guess you don’t realize that most Federal workers are already located outside of DC in every state of the union.

People keep prattling on about DC when that isn’t really even an issue. Maybe 10% of Feds actually work in the district.

As much as I preferred DeSantis, I will say that I'm looking forward to seeing the whole country in flames on Election Day with Trump on the ballot.

It's gonna make the Summer of Saint Floyd look like a frat party with penny beer.

Best popcorn-popping event ever.

I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Bite-me White House staff remove “T”s from computer keyboards as was done (“W”s removed) by people in the outgoing Clinton administration the day before President Bush was inaugurated. This would delay President Trump from typing “T”erminate for the domestic terrorists working to destroy our country.

yeah, but the hub of the spider web and the locus of the REAL power is in DC for the bureaucracies where they can hobnob with lobbyists, Congress and Congress staffers ... tough to do from Nome ...

He could order all background checks on bureaucrats to be reviewed and immediately fire any whose check wasn’t actually done. Remember the Clintonistas hired an outside firm that didn’t actually do them. I expect by now there are boatloads of senior bureaucrats that were good commies burrowing into the government to subvert it and turn it into a dictatorship. And guess what ‘type’ they would hire for the open entry level positions. You saw some of that during President Trump’s first term - remember the ones in treasury that happened to get caught?

He can relocate agencies to the middle of nowhere.

At the very least, he can relocate them to logical locales. Interior in Denver, say, Agriculture in Omaha, Commerce in New York, making those agencies closer and more responsive to the people they're supposed to be serving. And also energizing the economies in those places. It's ridiculous that an ever-more corrupt "District" of 600,000 people holds sway over the entire country, just as ridiculous as our "representatives" having to trot off to Washington like it's 1789 or something when they could do 90 percent or more of their work staying put in their home states. Admittedly, that would be a big blow to Washington's bartenders and prostitutes, but they'll likely survive.

A businessman like Trump sees Washington as the completely outmoded, antiquated monopoly it is. And that's why its denizens hate and fear him.

Maybe he can’t move them, or fire them but he can furlough them with pay.
He can relocate their offices to different parts of the existing building like the bathroom.
Have GSA only buy Prius cars.
Et al.
I could come up with a thousand things to do that will cause people to become ineffective.
That is the point, if they can’t come up with new Democrat/RINO party dictated government rules then they cannot hurt us.

So Trump revokes the rule.

Also, you can simply abolish their jobs by abolishing the agencies. If they’re actually necessary ones, create a new agency (smaller) to replace them. Otherwise, replace them with nothing. Then staff the new agencies with your own people and move them out of DC.
