Speaker Johnson may have been in the House only since 2017, but he's not letting Schumer and McConnell bully him into subservience to their "seniority." The Speakership is a big stick and he's wielding it.
I fully expect the Democrats to become more aggressive in trying to pick off two more Republican House seats in order to retake control of the House. McConnell will start pressuring Representatives who have Senatorial aspirations.
I posted long ago that McConnell is like the Alec Guiness character in the movie "Bridge on the River Kwai" who forgets who's side he's on and becomes obsessively protective of the bridge he's built for the enemy.
McConnell identifies more with the deals he's made with Democrats than he does with the Republican opposition agenda. Democrats know that it takes coordination between the House and Senate (Pelosi and Schumer) to achieve their agenda, but McConnell is stuck on his own prowess as a deal-maker and the sanctity of the institution that he loves and dedicated his whole life to (which the Democrats know and use as a weapon against him).
McConnell will never deign to work with Johnson to craft a bicameral Republican strategy to stop the Democrats, so House Republicans have to fight both the Democrats and McConnell to get what we want passed.

Good get rid of it and start from scratch..ANY bill that has a provision in it that says that if Trump refuses to give Ukraine money he gets impeached needs to go NOW! The dems put that in there because they know that Trump will win in November so they are already preparing to impeach him
