Let’s look at a little analysis instead of emotion.
Niners are 3rd best and the Chiefs are the 6th best in net scoring in the NFL. Niners are favored.
Matchup:
SF #3 Offense - 1st in Passing - 4th in Running
KC #2 Defense - 3rd against Pass - 24th against Run
KC #15 Offense - 19th in Passing - 8th in Running
SF #3 Defense - 5th against Pass - 10th against Run
Game Plan:
The offense and defense strengths and weakness of this matchup says both the Niners and the Chiefs should RUN MORE THAN PASS. The right game plan may make the difference. If one of the teams passes too much, good chance the other team will win.
Comments?
Passing increases the chances for interceptions and, especially, penalties.
Penalties have decided many a post-season game.
I don’t like that song, “My Way.”
I prefer, “The Lord’s Way.”
