When we used to visit family, in SoCal, we would go to a really good Mexican restaurant called Don Cesar....I think that was the name. Soooooo good!

Zaterine’s Red Beans and Rice reminds me of Puerto Rico where we would eat Red Beans and Rice with Chicken and Red Beans and Rice with Pork.
Each table in the restaurants would have a bottle of hot peppers on it and you would spoon some of the juice in your food depending on how hot you wanted it.
My S-I-L named her cats after characters in Bram Stoker’s “Dracula”.

Indeed. Tippy has the Zoomies down to a science. We live in a mobile home, and she zooms down the central hallway, leaps up onto the bed, leaps back off the bed, zooms back down the hallway, grabbing her toy on the run, zooms into the kitchen, shakes the toy, zooms back down the hallway, leaps up onto the bed, and tosses a perfect 3-pointer landing the toy squarely in the laundry basket. Then she leaps off the bed, and zooms back into the kitchen. She does this for hours.
YEARS ago....I learned the secret to making THE best gumbo, from a Louisiana Granny....who EVERYONE loved her gumbo....guess what it was/is???
Zatarain’s Gumbo BASE mix....not the one that already has rice with it....that’s no good, according to her! She gave me a few boxes, that she’d bought at the Piggly Wiggly. 😍
I get lots of requests to make my chicken and sausage gumbo!
