YEARS ago....I learned the secret to making THE best gumbo, from a Louisiana Granny....who EVERYONE loved her gumbo....guess what it was/is???
Zatarain’s Gumbo BASE mix....not the one that already has rice with it....that’s no good, according to her! She gave me a few boxes, that she’d bought at the Piggly Wiggly. 😍
I get lots of requests to make my chicken and sausage gumbo!

I like the Zatarain’s brand! Love using the seasonings for dirty rice but add my own extras! ;)
