SEN. MIKE LEE: The Firm™️ intends to force through the Ukraine aid portion of the supplemental aid package tomorrow

@BasedMikeLee

🚨 I have it on good authority that The Firm™️ intends to force through the Ukraine aid portion of the supplemental aid package (minus the border bill) tomorrow.

Do you want to give $60B to Ukraine, knowing that the entire budget of the U.S. Marine Corps in FY2023 was $53.8B?🚨

Only 5 billion requested for a border wall, denied. But now well over 150 billion for Ukraine. But they said we didn’t have 5 billion for the wall.

This is the insult many of us have been arguing since 2/24/22.

What happened to spending can only originate in the House?

It’s a lot cheaper than either the increases Marines alone will need if Pooty “wins” or so much as breaks even (our enemies including him emboldened), or the even larger economic impacts that ripple down due to our enemies including him being emboldened.

But that’s just the short to medium term. Long term is much more violent / deadly.

That all said, the $60 billion should come out of domestic programs that do more harm than good. That’s where the real money is.

No, the $60 billion includes lots of money for new weapons to replace old weapons (mostly) being sent to Ukraine.

IMO the entire $60 billion* should be used for this purpose and let the Euro’s (who are slightly past $180 billion euros now) prop up Ukraine financially.

*Well, actually, $1 billion or $2 billion of that in material relief supplies shipped to Ukraine is ok with me.

Ukraine aid’s best-kept secret: Most of the money stays in the U.S.A.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/11/29/ukraine-military-aid-american-economy-boost/

90% of America’s military aid to Ukraine goes to American companies, American industries, The American worker.
It’s revitalizing America’s know-how and military readiness.
Knowing that Russia has now oriented 40% or its entire budget towards warmongering and war of invasion costs, now is not the time to sit idly back like naive Chamberlain crowds.

Thus helping Ukraine is helping America First policies.

What?
You have a problem with Ukraine’s goal of defeating invading Russian troops on their very own Ukrainian soil? It’s THEIR land for God’s sake. Try to be a conservative nationalist and start respecting borders.

Are you against the idea that every country’s sovereignty should be respected? Why?

Do you also want mexicans to invade America via our southern border as well - the same way Russians are invading Ukraine’s border??

I am a conservative.
That’s why I want our border to Mexico closed.
That’s why I want the illegal invading russian occupying forces in Ukraine expelled from Ukraine.

I don’t care about what Russia does inside Russia. It’s their problem. I do have a problem with Russia and their Iranian allies attacking our allies Israel and Ukraine.

The requirement of all this money to be sent elsewhere was money to close the border. Not money to fund whatever comes through the border.

The House is too evenly divided to rely on it to stop anything at this point. 9 GOP votes are required in the Senate to do cloture. As long as the thinking is per the above para, and remains that, nothing is going to proceed.

As for the desperation of Ukraine and the need for money, their need is for troops, and NATO is not going to take that step. As was clear from day one, they cannot endure attrition. The troop total difference is too great. And Russia only mobilized 300K of its millions of Reservists. March is coming (election day) and after that, more mobilized.

Money isn’t going to fix that.

These idiots are so concerned about the borders of other nations while purposely leaving ours open and preventing anyone else from changing it.
Only 5 billion requested for a border wall, denied.
But now well over 150 billion for Ukraine.
But they said we didn’t have 5 billion for the wall.
_______________________________________________________________________

Sorry but you’re WRONG! They don’t really care about ANYBODY’s borders! This is ALL about them getting their cut from the MIC (Milt Indus Compl) and they’ve been waiting for it for months! THAT’S ALL they care about! It’s no different than any other sleazy used car salesman trying unload a lemon as long as they get their commission! Don’t make this more complicated than it is....otherwise you’ll fall right into their BS narrative!

Last I heard, spending bills HAD to originate in the house. The Speaker needs to pimp slap McConnell.

“ Do you want to give $60B to Ukraine”

YES

Would you mind giving them my share too? I’ve given all I can afford (actually, it was taken against my will).
