folx????
Seriously????????????
Could they be any more condescending?
What are they going to do when someone claims they self-identify as a black person?
Liberals are managing to recreate segregation, just by calling it a privilege.

Twice a week, the University of Waterloo, athletic centre suspends its usual calendar of mid-morning swim lessons, and reserves its 25-yard pool for the exclusive use of a demographic that, in their words, does not have a good “relationship with water.”
“The aim is to get more Black Folx into a space where they haven’t always been welcomed,” reads the official description for the “Black Folx swim,” a 60-minute Black-only pool time. Users can swim lengths, practice diving or sign-up for a lesson. But they — and all the instructors — must be “Black folx.”

Rachel Dolezal?
That's true.
But if a dictionary recognizes a misspelled word as acceptable, then what's the point of having a dictionary?
Maybe you should aks them.
Black-only swim times, Black-only lounges
They bitched about that for years now they pimp it unstable minds at work.
I’m waiting to see how many black people drown without white people there to pull them out of the deep end.
When dictionaries recognize certain slang or dialect-derived words, they generally note the derivation.
Here’s the Collins dictionary on ‘Brotha’:

Been like this on American college campuses since the Cornell Rebellion in the late 1960s.
I assume you’re White and haven’t lived within a Black subculture.
Of course it’s not the ‘conventional spelling’. It’s spelled that way consciously.
Back in the 60’s when the black students at my college sequestered themselves in a part of the Student Union Center it was the best couple of quarters of my undergrad. The whole place was cleaner and less chaotic. It didn’t last long enough.
Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
My wife is an area manager for NAPA auto parts a black co worker asks her what colored printer can i use She said good lord dude its 2024 use anyone you want
Webster’s notes the etymology of “folx” follows Mx. and Latinx, that is, the “x” at the end has some sort of inclusive woke derivation.
Therefore, the original use of the current definition of “folx” was not and could not have been in 1833.
Therefore, the 1833 use was not slang, it was a misspelling.
Webster’s is connecting a new word to an old origin to give the false appearance of legitimacy. This is not unusual for Webster’s, which has transformed from dictionary to propogandist.
It would only be fair!
Damn hypocrites and double standards.
Yes, it was a misspelling that is now appropriated into a kind of ‘code’.
It looks like Webster’s is actually trying to give legitimacy to crap like ‘Latinx’, which is entirely a contemporary invention without historical linguistic significance.
Next they’ll be demanding slavery.
