Twice a week, the University of Waterloo athletic centre suspends its usual calendar of mid-morning swim lessons, and reserves its 25-yard pool for the exclusive use of a demographic that, in their words, does not have a good “relationship with water.”

“The aim is to get more Black Folx into a space where they haven’t always been welcomed,” reads the official description for the “Black Folx swim,” a 60-minute Black-only pool time. Users can swim lengths, practice diving or sign-up for a lesson. But they — and all the instructors — must be “Black folx.”

If I lived in the area, I would go there, change into my swim trunks, and jump into the pool, and say this is my Rosa Parks moment, knowing the woke guards, they would make me go to the back of the pool, where I would have to tread water in 9 foot deep water.

I checked the original story and - yes- they spell “folks” as “folx.” I don’t know what progressive message that is supposed to send but - once again - we have the left doing exactly what they accuse the “far right” of wanting to do: bringing back racial segregation. In addition to that, the statement from the university read like something from the Babylon Bee.

I think it is not an entirely bad thing. The stress of being around black people and constantly worried about some nonexistent “microagression” that is whipped out by one of them to start an issue is exhausting. Apparently, a compliment or even a greeting is considered a microagression.

That was a new one for me, and it jumped out. I thought, "What?" Is this just more racist pandering, suggesting that blacks don't know how to spell "folks" so we'll change the spelling to conform to their ignorance? The longer blacks tolerate this, the less I respect them.
