Imagine how hard life was when you had to get off the sofa just to change the TV channel.

That's what little sisters were for

Wait until she realizes the bite income taxes take if she owes the IRS at the end of the year.

There are some people that you just want to walk up to and slap upside the head...because they are so ignorant that they don’t ‘get’ life.

“Imagine how hard life was when you had to get off the sofa just to change the TV channel.”

We had little brothers for that, and adjusting the rabbit ears.

“so I can have a two-bedroom apartment”

There’s part of the problem.

We had a long bamboo pole with a notch carved in the end for the channel and volume knobs. Also worked well when you had to smack the side of the tv

I keep a fire extinguisher near the entrance to the kitchen.

I remember in 1960, the school teachers saying when we became adults the work week would only be about 30-35 hours to make sure everyone had a job.

Never worked out that way for me!
Often I worked 56 hours a week with one day off. Made good overtime money back then! Never turned down overtime!

And to think I just spent a week cleaning up the house so I could take 35-30 photos to qualify for the new homeowners policy.

Last summer my area got hard punched by a storm. Part of my roof came off. Hurray for insurance. Got a new high tech foam roof, that’s better insulation. Insurance is nice.

"So, I work 40 hours a week so I can have a two-bedroom apartment and an extra $300 a month," she says.

Sounds like you are doing okay then.

If you want to work less time you could get a smaller apartment. And not spend so much on name brand clothing, electronics and entertainment.

Life is full of trade offs.

I’ll be 70 in May, and I’m still working…large RE company in Dallas. Great work environment, been there nearly 18 months. Last year, I worked more overtime than I did at any CPA firm.

As long as I can be productive, I’ll keep at it.
