Don’t take it just from me. Here are direct quotes from WSJ editorial board tonight. It’s all hiding in plain sight:
“If she can remain competitive, there’s an argument for Ms. Haley to stay in the race through the July convention. Mr. Trump faces a treacherous legal road…Ms. Haley could stay in the race, rack up delegates, and see what happens if he is found guilty.
“Strange things can happen with candidates who are this old and this disliked by a majority of the public. The 2024 election may have more twists before the Trump vs. Biden die is cast.”
Its next week.
This is ridiculous. Even if medical or legal issues keep Trump from getting the nomination, Republicans delegates should respect the wishes of the voters and go with someone who is ideologically similar to Trump.
Nikki Haley is virtually a Democrat. (She’s getting lots of funding from Reid Hoffman, who funded mudslinger E. Jean Carroll’s made-up lawsuit against Trump.)
I suspect the closest Haley gets to being Republican is the poster of Ganesh in her kitchen.
As the indigenous people of Japan would say, if only Ainu what Vishnu...
(it’s 2:45. Quarter to three, nobody here but FReepers and me...maybe Wagon Train can get me back to sleep.)
LOL! Watching Fort Yuma on GRIT channel… my other half went to bed. 11:44 pm here.
Usually it is Gunsmoke and Wagon Train for him.
Exactly…
sorry
The contests soon turn into winner takes all. Nikki won’t be gaining many delegates.
Also, almost all delegates are committed nowadays on the first ballot. Nikki won’t be able to persuade many uncommitted delegates to come over to her side.
Ted Cruz (11) and, to lesser extents Marco Rubio (3) and John Kasich (1) actually won contests in 2016. This extended the process into May and the Indiana primary. When Trump won the Indiana primary, he became the presumptive nominee of the party.
Finishing second in an early state in a crowded field, with the first place person under 50 percent, can keep hope alive, if the next few states look favorable. But that’s not what we’re talking about this year.
Finally I will say: This election is Donald Trump’s revenge tour. For him and a large segment of the population, it is payback time for years of mistreatment. Trump’s legal mess isn’t stopping him. It’s actually propelling him. I am not a MAGA Republican, but I appreciate that Trump and the MAGA movement is standing up for the little guy.
Agreed. Her goal is to derail the Trump Train to ensure the globalist gravy train is not disrupted.
I listened to some of the people who voted for her. Same mentality as "the girls" voting for Prom Queen.
I'm sure she's polishing her resume for a media job.
What is it going to take for Nimarata (female Nimrod) Nikki to quit?
Vivek summed it up neatly: “The Republican primary is effectively over.”
He told Fox News: “Loser Haley staying in the race, reveals sinister forces at work here; the very people propping up Haley are the very same people financing the Biden lawsuits to keep Trump off the ballot.”
Nikki Haley won the Democrat Primary’ getting one and a half times as many Democrat votes as Joe Biden.
Perhaps she should continue to run as a Democrat.
So, what’s going to happen is that the Haley forces will break up the GOP.
I hope there’s a plan to pick up the Americans from the Democrat party after it gets broken up.
All I can say is I’ll be voting Trump in November whether he’s the Republican nominee or not, they force Haley or somebody else on the ballot and I’ll be voting for Trump as a write-in.
““Strange things can happen with candidates who are this old and this disliked by a majority of the public. The 2024 election may have more twists before the Trump vs. Biden die is cast.””
You do not have to like Trump. I think he is a pompous blowhard. But, he is not part of the political class, understands the bottom line, is probably the best project manager in the world, and it shows that he loves America and only wants the best for the citizenry.
I want a CEO of corporate America. Not some political class idiot who beholden to the globalist elites.
“McDaniel just told Nikki to “get out”.”
yesterday i commented about John Cornyn endorsing trump:
a tsunami of endorsements like this is on the way to closing ranks around the presumptive nominee because it’s the only thing that can save the GOP, and the smart Republican politicians and the ones with the most to lose know that ...
within days, Haley will find herself completely ostracized by the party power structure, and her only allies besides Democrats will be other castoffs, outsiders and anti-Trumpers like george conway, bill kristal, chris christie, adam kinzinger, liz cheney and the like ...
nonetheless, i suspect haley will persist as long as her money holds out because she’s too stupid, egotistical and/or arrogant to realize that she’ll become one of the biggest political pariahs in modern U.S. politics ...
[it’s now absolutely clear that haley is nothing more than a Democrat-funded, traitorous, anti-MAGA, anti-Trump, anti-GOP stalking horse ... her shrill and hateful lies make Chris Christie look like a decent human being]
I read that article this morning and thought about making a comment there about the delusions of the WSJ writers. I then thought “what’s the use”.
WSJ has been writing glowing articles about Haley for weeks now. It is much like the daily articles telling us how great the economy is under Biden.
The feminist editor of the WSJ is apparently a devout Never-Trumper in addition to being a great supporter or Bidenomics.
Not much worth reading at the site these days. Even their financial articles are suspect and many times based on false economic data.
“11 June is the SC primary date”
I thought the SC GOP primary was Feb 24th. Has the date been changed?
FYI:
Here is a link to the dates of the 2024 caucus and primaries.
