CNN — People who test positive for Covid-19 in California and Oregon are no longer expected to isolate for a set period of time — and those without symptoms don’t have to isolate at all, state policies now say. People with symptoms can return to school or work once their symptoms are improving and they’ve been fever-free for at least 24 hours, according to the state policies.
These two states — which have tended to take a more precautious approach to pandemic policies — are the first to break from federal guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which recommends at least five days of isolation for anyone with Covid-19. Oregon changed its isolation policy in May when the Covid-19 public health emergency lifted, and California followed suit earlier this month.
Officials in both states say the changes reflect policy that’s evolving along with the pandemic.

Simple rule: If you’re sick, stay home or otherwise isolate yourself from others. If masking makes you feel safer, mask away. Just don’t try to force isolation and masking on the rest of us.
I had to check the date of this article- would’ve sworn it was from 2021
To put it even more starkly, if the link between vaccines and these diseases is legitimate:
Humanity today would be healthier and more numerous, if no vaccine had ever been invented!

This is good sense.
Too often we see people here laughing at mask wearers and vaccine takers, bragging about being ‘purebloods’, etc. People need to make their own decisions and leave others alone.
So the USA defeated Nazi Germany and imperial Japan, and developed atomic weapons to boot, in less time than it took California and Oregon to start to ease off the gulag routine?
Well finally I am currently recovering it and I quarantined myself in the bedroom. Except the church lady aka landlord did not found that comforting so she evicted my butt out. Now I’m back living in my car. I get a kick when the lady yelled out to the other roommate “Get out here quick! The “TV” said the CDC suggest that we wash all bedspread. So she made her roommate wash all blankets and bedspread. I’m thinking I wish TV would say “Go jump in a lake”. LOL
There are lots of people all over the world with respiratory and other issues who wear masks routinely - either to protect from poor air quality, or from being close to others who may be ill.
You don’t always know which ones they are, and which are just ‘virtue signalling’.
If you laughed at them, my judgment would be that you aren’t very thoughtful.
The news is that CDC recommends masks and social distancing.
If you like maskerbation keep on maskerbating.
But have to wear a mask...during flu season.
Yeah it's F'n stupid....but they pay me very well.
I live in a very metropolitan/cosmopolitan area. I saw them nearly every day long before Covid, here. Mostly Asians, who tend to be conscious of air quality because in their countries the air is often so dirty; but sometimes elderly too; not to mention people undergoing certain immune-suppressing treatments.
You simply don’t know - (and the fact that you call it a ‘face diaper’ indicates a lot, too.)
The new CA guidance is no need to stay at home after testing positive unless you have a fever. So you could be sneezing and coughing all over the place... issue has been schools are unhappy because they do not get paid from the state when students are home sick.
Wait! I thought we were all dead!! This isn’t Heaven?
Wisconsin and Illinois are the two states. Wow.
The CDC is dead to me since they put the covid shot on the childhood vaccine schedule.
