“The Mustang Mach-E battery part will cost up to $35,329 before the aforementioned core charge.”

For a car manufacturer and dealer, the EV is a dream. You will have guaranteed return customers like clock work. The EV may as well have a self destruct countdown timer placed in the dash.
The “Progressive” is easy to understand.
What is theirs is theirs.
What is yours is theirs.
The true reason that Japanese carmakers avoid investing in EV cars is because of animosity between Red China and Japan. Japan does not want to be dependent on Red China for components. They know that China aims to crush Japan's auto industry by making and selling cheap EV's.
Therefore, Japan is sticking with ICE and hybrid models, and researching alternative power like hydrogen. Toyota is correct, EV cars will not dominate the world market. I had pegged it at 40 percent max but Toyota is probably more correct with a 30 percent figure.
The really good news for Dems is 90% of the EV is built in China.
i might add: what many FReeper engineering types have been saying here for years.
Japan: America wisely once shed her grace through God Almighty on the ashes of that nation, and now We the People are reaping the benefits of her wisdom and competence in many of her great people and products.
it’d be a real mess...
Another one of Biden’s pig in a poke idea fails.
WRONG, they already did.
In the 1830s there were more battery-powered cars built in Scotland alone (two that we know of) than ALL the ICE automobiles built in the entire rest of the world (approximately 0).
