As the work-from-home trend took off during the COVID-19 pandemic, the term “quiet quitting” entered the contemporary lexicon.
According to the Harvard Business Review, “Quiet quitters continue to fulfill their primary responsibilities, but they’re less willing to engage in activities known as citizenship behaviors: no more staying late, showing up early, or attending non-mandatory meetings.” Simply put, having perceived their jobs to not have value and meaning, they do no more than absolutely necessary.
There is debate among scholars as to the extent of the quiet quitting phenomenon, but there is increasing evidence that white Americans are increasingly quiet quitting America’s leading institutions. And the possible implications of that for American society are profound.
This phenomenon is a consequence of the trends I write about in my forthcoming book, The Unprotected Class, about the rise of anti-white racism in American culture and how both formal and informal anti-white discrimination have become a factor in almost every area of American public life.
Little surprise then, that more and more young whites, especially young white men, are looking at the overall environment and saying, “Thanks, but no thanks,” to our leading institutions. Last week, the armed forces announced that the number of white recruits had fallen precipitously over the last five years.
According to a report at Military.com, most of the Army’s much-discussed incoming recruiting shortfall is due largely to this dramatic decline. While a bit more than 44,000 white Americans signed up to join the army in 2018, that number cratered to just over 25,000 by 2023—a stunning drop in a short period of time when black and Hispanic recruiting was largely flat. As a result, white recruits went from 56.4% of soldiers in 2018 to 44% in 2023.

Going Galt is in the very near future for me.
Its surprising that anything connected to Harvard is saying this.
That would be “quietly quitting.”
Why should I continue to show up early, stay late, do all the hard projects while those with less aptitude but favored traits like certain skin colors or xx chromosomes get paid the same to do less , work less hours and get more praise.
Literally this is what is common now in most workplaces. I have trained half a dozen people to do the job I do, all have been unwilling to work enough to master the job but at least they check a box.
DEI fosters kakistocracy.

Some of us have gone Galt+ I do not simply refuse to fund our government of perverts, by perverts, and for perverts, I take from it any welfare I can legally take. Last year we converted all our savings to cash. Yes that hurts with the inflation going on. But, when I filed taxes today we had an earned income of $13.00 yep, thirteen-dollars. We are costing the perverts money.

Work hard. Play by the rules. Make sacrifices. And get nowhere.
You can see other people move up — but it’s not because they work hard or add value. No. They move up because the bean counters need to “check boxes” and get the right sort of people in “leadership” positions. The actual worker bees who put in extra effort? They get nothing.
Riiigghht. Why should white people enjoy all the hard work it takes to succeed? Leave it to these guys from just accross the Rio Grande.

Isn’t this just removing their white privilege? Working late and working hard are both signs of white privilege. The less they do, the more people these institutions have to hire, some of which will be white.

We need some to sacrifice by joining so they can keep tabs on the military and gum up the works.
The best things I can think to tell them: make sure your children reach their highest academic potential possible. They need to be smart.
Then teach them to work hard. There is not going to be a lot of competition for hard work. Teach your kids to show up for work on time, ready to go. That will make them stand-out from 80 percent of Karen's adult children.
Then encourage them to study for a needed degree or learn a needed skill. Avoid worthless college degrees.
There should always be a demand for value; so become valuable.
Good... and all the “Institutions” will end up like every major democrat city. POS!!

White quiet quitting is more prevalent in the military and DEI public and private sector employment entities where merit takes a back seat to “other considerations”. Not so much in smaller business and corporate entities which has not been infected by toxic DEI environment yet. For all the talk of white privilege, only 39% of the Harvard student population is white. We have gone Galt, no longer worth the effort and America and our allies who depend on us will be the worse off for it
