What’s Facebook ?
I have never joined or looked at Facebook beyond an occasional click on something linked. Same way with Twitter/X, Tik-tok and the like. Google/Chrome? I treat that crap like being in the room with an ebola patient.
I opened a Facebook account several years ago so that I could interact on a specific sports page. I used it for awhile to post comments to news articles, and was appropriately critical of Hillary on a few. I used VPN, a lot of layers, and did not use identifying information they could use. They suspended my account and insisted that I post a picture. So I did. A random picture off the net. They said, ‘no, it has to be a real picture’. So I uploaded another picture, a person but low resolution and not identifiable. That was the end of that account.
This whole thing is dumb. Facebook, YouTube, etc. should have very detailed lists of what categories of ads are available. Then we can choose what ads we want to see. No need for all this spying around.
YouTube is particularly silly. I’m interested in trucks, and in DIY home repair. I get ads about body wash and shooting games. I suppose YouTube uses some kind of algorithm. But it’s a darn bad one. And their page to customize ads is pretty poor, too.
Thank GWD I don’t use Face crap!

This goes on in other countries.. Dividing words, trying to not get a notice.
The great United States, elected a non American patriot.. Then they put in an unelected control freak with limited brain capacity.. And our great United States became like the other lower rated countries.
For this senior.. Who remembers WWII and the patriotism.. Never imagining becoming like the counties we fought freedom for. We were invincible.. Till time and success took its toll.. Thankfulness turned into comfortable taking it all for granted..
Not knowing how bad it could be.. The younger generations not experiencing a country lost.... There are no words..
Know what is going on,... Know who is FOR you and who wants to control you.

Facebook is ground zero for scams of the elderly where thousands have lost their life savings and that bastard Dork Zuckerturd can’t be sued.
Uh oh! They can find my FB profile right next to my vax certs. Oh, and a list of Kwanzaa cards I sent out......😆

And when you tell Farcebook users they are being monitored, they laugh as though it could not be true. Others simply brush it off by saying they have nothing to hide.
Then there are those that take the moral high ground and shame non-users for not using Farcebook to keep in touch with their family.
I had a good email friend that gave me an ultimatum, either keep in touch via Facebook or never hear from her again. I have not heard from her in 10 years.
A few days ago at a gun shop I was told to check out some deals on Facebook. I told the store clerk I am not a Facebook user, and he laughed and said no one is watching me.
There will always be sheep wanting to be eaten by the wolves. They can’t help it, it’s in their genes.

This sounds more like they monitor their customers or consumers on only their websites, but they transmit to Facebook that recorded behavior, probably to market to them, being paid by Facebook.

Every single person who has a facebook ID has agreed that facebook can collect all available data on their phone or computer and sell it to whomever they choose.
