BOSTON — A major drugstore chain is shutting down another location in Boston in just a matter of days and people who live in the area are concerned that they are now living in a “pharmacy desert.”
The Walgreens at 416 Warren Street in Roxbury will shut its doors for good come Martin Luther King Jr. Day, becoming the chain’s fourth city location to close in a little over a year.
In late 2022, Walgreens suddenly shuttered locations in Mattapan, Hyde Park, and on Washington Street in Roxbury.
Some Boston City Councilors have blasted the company for closing stores in predominantly Black, Brown, and working-class communities.

Maybe some old school mom and pop apothecaries can open up with everything behind the counter, except candy and cheap cigars.

Boo hoo hoo. Get crime under control and these deserts won’t happen. Stupid approaches to reality should be painful. Stop voting for the commies.

Maybe it has something to do with the oasis being ravaged.
Clear-cutting, as it were.

We have to have local pharmacies because when a person goes to a doctor and needs their medication right now, they do not have time to wait for it to be delivered by mail.
Yes, people can get many things online but we still need a way to get the medications same day.

Stop raiding them for supplies.
Even places in video games shut down if you continually raid them.
What did you expect to happen?
