By now, one might think that the liberal media would know better than to try to ask a gotcha question of Vivek Ramaswamy. But alas, they have not yet learned that lesson.
On Wednesday, a Washington Post reporter ridiculously asked him to “condemn white supremacy and white nationalism” and was utterly destroyed as a result.
"I'm not — I'm not going to recite some catechism for you,” Ramaswamy began. "I'm against vicious racial discrimination in this country. So I'm not pledging allegiance to your new religion of modern wokeism which absolutely fits the test."
"I'm not going to bend the knee to your religion. I'm sorry, I'm not asking you to bend the knee to mine and I'm not going to bend the knee to yours. But do I condemn vicious racial discrimination? Yes, I do. Am I going to play your silly game of ‘Gotcha'? No, I'm not. And frankly, this is why people have lost trust [in the media]."
Ramaswamy continued, "And I know you’re going to go print the headline tomorrow. I already know this, we already know how your game works. 'Vivek Ramaswamy Refuses to Condemn Racism,' because you asked a stupid question. The reality is, I condemn vicious racial discrimination in this country, but the kind of vicious and systematic racism we see today is discrimination on the basis of race in a very different direction."
"You want to know what the best way is to end discrimination on the basis of race?" Vivek asked. "Stop discriminating on the basis of race. Do that, and we're going to move this country forward, and I don't care whether you're black or white or brown or anything in between. That's how we're going to unite this country."

Ok, not bad. This tells me he can effectively squish both sides of his brain together. The rational and creative. I’m not saying that in a snarky way at all. I like Vivek. And the way he tore up that reporter re: the “White Supremacy” gotcha trap earlier today was epic.
Vivek would be a marvelous press secretary for Trump. He’d have the presstitutes squirming in their chairs.
I hate this stupid, modern "spin journalism," where when someone simply disagrees with an opponent, they are said to "destroy" or "nuke" or "shut down" that opponent.
Both sides do it. It makes for good clickbait.

How he handles the media is so similar to how Trump did it in his 2016 campaign.
My favorite was when a reporter criticized him for using the term, “anchor baby”, and asked him if he wanted to re-phrase it. He thought for a few seconds and replied, “No. I think I’ll keep calling them anchor babies.”
White Farmers have been murdered in South Africa. Someone is running for office there on the promise to kill them all. Can we call that Communist Supremacy?

He may not have "destroyed her", but if not it was pretty close. He was MORE than effective in how he handled her. He put her in her place and made it impossible for her to write the headline she wanted by calling it ahead of time.
You should acknowledge when the left receives a major wound, rather than just grovel to their tactics. Never celebrating a small victory means you've given up.
Standing up and fighting might be a better option.
I’m glad that I read some posts before posting. I’ve been saying the same thing. Vivek would make a fantastic Press secretary, perhaps Tony, Sarah and Kaleigh level.

Re: destroyed - unless the reporter was reduced to a pile of ash in front of everyone, this is a total misuse of the word (No shiite Sherlock).
Vivek’s preemptive cancellation of the headline that would most assuredly follow was great.
I know he takes a lot of crap, but I like him.
