” I do portrait art so have been really busy on a commission lately”

I didn’t know that, what a talent you have! I am completely nonartistic. But I can admire what other people do. My grandfather was a art professor in italy, and I have quite a few of his paintings. He never made it big commercially but my house is a museum to his legacy.

I started with graphite then moved to color pencil. Plan on oils later this year. We live in an over 55 community with lots of offerings. I just sort of fell into art and found an aptitude for it.😍😍😍

Well now I feel like I have been neglecting my little pot of pens, pencils, one sharpie, a nail file and a fake flower for all of these years. How does one organize their pens and pencils? Is this an engineer thing? "

It's probably more a hoarder thing. But a hoarder with OCD that likes to be organized. Actually I'm unpacking boxes from when we moved to Tennessee 9 years ago. And I'm discovering boxes of office supplies. Things I replaced since I needed them and forgot we had some. Then there were Penn collections from my son, he always came home with a backpack full every week. I'm surprised we never got a call from the school.

here's my collection as it stands today. I already threw away a bunch. I'm testing each one and hopefully I can throw away half that don't work. And then I could put them into boxes and label them. Until the next time I test them and throw away more.

but not today. My ADD has taken hold so now I'm cleaning up kitten toys, rugs, heated mats, etc

Interesting!!!! I’d be so proud of his work.❤❤❤ My aunt was an accomplished painter and had her work displayed in the Oklahoma State House. Maybe some of her ability rubbed off on me! I never even attempted art till we retired and moved to our community here in FL.

I would be happy too. My issue is that I’m not very good at computer stuff. Lakeside Granny tried to help me once but I’m A flop. Are there instructions on how to do it here? I do have a couple pieces I’m presenting in March at our annual Art Show that I can give our group a first showing.

I did a lot of oil paintings. Mostly landscapes but carpel tunnel got to me so I haven’t done any in years.

I posted pictures of several of my paintings here on the Train.

Now if you are like me those will still be like that in weeks to come. I get started on a project and rarely get it finished or make a bigger mess then I had to begin with. :-(

"I’d love to know more out everyone’s avocations"

You probably didn't mean me, but here's more kitten pictures anyway. These are the very last. :(

“My preference is human faces.”

Now that’s the hardest thing to do. And my grandfather’s paintings, he has very few people, and the ones he has just have a blank face.

Chat away, we do!!

“Pretending to do something is also the only thing government pulls off consistently.”

That is very true for the republicans. Unfortunately the Democrats do get something done, and it’s to the detriment of the country. It’s a lose-lose.

Oh well, young lady. We have a very easy process for posting pics here. We text them to someone who is happy to post them for us! I assumed everyone did it that way lol!

Biden probably thinks he’s in the Middle East.

Hubby flies to Wilmington tomorrow.

Maybe somebody can explain this, the world of finances. The dealer is desperate to close the deal today, so it can count for january. We even got some free stuff on the car. But if it just delays till february, that would count for February so what’s the big deal?

So Penny will be home tomorrow night. Unfortunately it will be dark so I’ll have to wait till the next morning to see her in all her glory.

I’d love to see pics! Our Spunky does (or did) beautiful oil paintings which she posted here. I was so impressed with them, and would love to see drawings. Those of us who are completely without talent in the art and singing department, really appreciate those who are. It’s difficult to say which I’m worse at.

Chatty is perfect for us. We love chatty! Don’t ever apologize.

“A hate crime. For vandalizing a statue.”

All the people dismantling the Confederate statues need to be treated the same

I even slowed down the speed. Best I could get was pavilion jovs. Not sure what they are, but glad he’s going to veto them.

They probably want to pump up January’s numbers a bit because they have an extra day if February to still look good lol. Plus the sales guy gets his commission on his check sooner lol.

“Awww. It must feel so quiet today. :(”

It is. I keep thinking that it’s time to let them in or time to give them a treat. Sable is very happy though, she’s running all over the house making sure they are gone. Cadbury is also running all over the house but I think he is looking for them.

It must be awful to be an animal and not know about these changes, and if they are temporary. Like the poor kittens. I’m told that Daisy and Buttercup are hissing at everybody. I’m not surprised by buttercup, but Daisy must be scared.
