How far can gratitude for what former President Trump accomplished — and rage against the Deep State/Democrats — take you in an election? That's the existential question Republicans need to be asking right now. Is it worth going down with the ship to send a message to those persecuting Trump? What should be our goals at this pivotal moment in history? Avenging Trump or winning the 2024 election at all costs — even if Trump has to take one for the team?
Radio talker Steve Deace warned yesterday that if Republicans don't start living in reality, there won't be a country to leave behind for our children.
"The future of the country is at stake, and we all recognize that," he began. "But right now, on a very practical level, things that every previous generation of Americans except during the Great Depression took for granted, we are on the brink of not being able to take for granted anymore."
He listed as examples being able to buy a home or a car and not having to worry about their child dying of a fentanyl overdose because Joe Biden left the border wide open.
"We are on the brink right now, as a people, of the kinds of things that, if you read history books, civilizations don't come back from," he added. "I've never been 'this is the most important election of our lifetime.' Guys, I hate that, okay, but I really believe this year is a win-or-go-home kind of election in 2024. We have to win."
Deace insisted that Ron DeSantis, based on his record as Florida governor, is the one who can lead the GOP to victory.

But DeSantis, or Haley, or Christie “leading the GOP to victory” would be meaningless - another Romney - Obama election where the Deep State wins whoever comes out ahead.
They don’t mind getting crushed as long as they get a proper reach around, and get to lick whatever remains in the federal feed trough the democrats have feasted from.

Two weeks before the 2020 election, Biden showed up at a press conference, and to ensure a respectable turnout, Obama showed up. The result ? Aside from the media, a total 12 people attended. Contemporaneous to this event, Trump was holding rallies across the country with tens of thousands in attendance at every event. There was ZERO support for Biden, and he hid in his basement in Maryland for the remainder of the campaign.
The media is very adept at getting people to forget what actually happened.
There’s no possible way on earth that Joe Biden won the 2020 election, it’s mathematically impossible.
This is yet another reason the liberal elites are terrified of a Trump victory. He WILL be able to prove beyond any doubt whatsoever that he won in 2020, at which point many, many people will be going to prison. Additionally, it means that nothing Biden signed into law was legal, including the massive federal budgets. None of his executive orders are legal, and his entire presidency will be null and void.
The Democrat Party will collapse, and to paraphrase Lincoln, “… there will be a rebirth of freedom…”
The liberal elites know the real consequences of a Trump victory, and they’re currently seeking real estate in countries with no extradition treaties to the US.
Such will be the line crossed to bring out a million plus lone wolves.

This the crux of your confusion. DeSantis is NOT MAGA. That’s clear to anyone who’s looking at this objectively. If he were MAGA, he would be helping to unify the party behind the MAGA candidate who’s far ahead of all the others. He’d be fighting the lawfare aimed at Trump rather than arguing that it’s inevitable (while also clearly hoping it will succeed). If he were MAGA, he would have acknowledged that 2020 was stolen.
