How far can gratitude for what former President Trump accomplished — and rage against the Deep State/Democrats — take you in an election? That's the existential question Republicans need to be asking right now. Is it worth going down with the ship to send a message to those persecuting Trump? What should be our goals at this pivotal moment in history? Avenging Trump or winning the 2024 election at all costs — even if Trump has to take one for the team?
Radio talker Steve Deace warned yesterday that if Republicans don't start living in reality, there won't be a country to leave behind for our children.
"The future of the country is at stake, and we all recognize that," he began. "But right now, on a very practical level, things that every previous generation of Americans except during the Great Depression took for granted, we are on the brink of not being able to take for granted anymore."
He listed as examples being able to buy a home or a car and not having to worry about their child dying of a fentanyl overdose because Joe Biden left the border wide open.
"We are on the brink right now, as a people, of the kinds of things that, if you read history books, civilizations don't come back from," he added. "I've never been 'this is the most important election of our lifetime.' Guys, I hate that, okay, but I really believe this year is a win-or-go-home kind of election in 2024. We have to win."
Deace insisted that Ron DeSantis, based on his record as Florida governor, is the one who can lead the GOP to victory.

No one has to rig the election for Trump to lose. He's got a core base that laps up his insults, stories, and martyrdom. But that loses others, like me. It loses independents, women, and others. His core is shrinking every time he opens his mouth.
I'm sure there is rigging and fraud planned and will occur, but I don't think that will be required to do Trump in.

Folks, before getting to the substance of what you are about to see and hear, let me point out something very serious.
When you listen to the gleeful whispers of demons on your shoulder, something physically begins to manifest. Look at Ron DeSantis carefully. I mean, really look at him. Do you see it? Notice the absence of light, joy and happiness around him. The Florida Governor is traveling in a very dark psychological place, and it shows.
In this interview (prompted), Ron DeSantis is asked about the challenge by Vivek Ramaswamy for all candidates to pull out of the Colorado primary after the state supreme court decided to use black-robed political power in an effort to remove President Donald Trump from the ballot. DeSantis, dancing with demons, says he is not withdrawing from Colorado, because those precious delegates will now be his.

He’ll have no way, just like Trump. You will never again see a Republican president, except maybe one like Mitt Romney.

You will be losing too.
Bank on it.
Just vote for BiXiden’s successor and be happy Trump lost. You have no path to victory.

Please cite your sources of his “insults, stories and martyrdom.” No other candidate has been hounded, investigated or ridiculed as much as Trump in the modern history of our elections. God forbid he bitches about it. DeSantis would have folded like a cheap suit if he faced the same onslaught. And if he’s the candidate, we’ll all get a chance to see it happen.
To: Paladin2
Exactly. It the game is rigged against Trump, who believes nominating an alternative would compel the deep state to disarm?

It’s a moot point, not worth talking about. Trump has the nomination locked up. He’s going to be the 2024 GOP nominee. End of story. So it’s time to unite.
But Dease is right about one thing. 2024 will absolutely be a pivotal year in our nation’s history. And that’s even more reason to unite now.
(And GOPe leaders, this means you too. Don’t stand on the sidelines. Remember, if the “progressives” can crush Trump, you’re next.)

I have never listened to the Ben Shapiro radio show until today 12/20/23 (not a follower) and I heard the last part of “The Colorado Supreme Court’s ruling barring Trump from the ballot isn’t just insane. It’s actually dangerous, and sets the stage for the ugliest presidential election of our lifetime, with the real possibility of violence ahead.”
He clearly stated that the Right won’t accept the Dems winning by cheating and keeping Trump off the ballots and the Left won’t accept Trump honestly winning if the Supreme Court rules the lawfare about the ballot ploy was not allowed.
He said violence will be a guarantee from the Left and a strong possibility from the Right.
Thought provoking.

What RINO is your choice? You want Mittens?
I want Trump to continue where he left off. If Trump is not there, we will no longer be a republic.

These people are so stupid. So they will rig the game against Trump but won’t rig it against DeSantis? And if they don’t, why would that be??
