Oh I have... Cops are always right and never wrong. They could blow an innocent civilian away right in front of some of the boot lickers on here and they will still find some sort of justification for it.

It is a cult... And the irony is that LE has absolutely none of that same respect for those who do support them like that. Any slight risk at all and they will execute their own supporters in a heartbeat.

I don’t believe that. Cops are like everyone else - there are good and bad.

About 20 years ago Lakeland FL PD came to my house, which I had owned for 20 years, and accused me of harboring someone I had never heard of. They were nasty, called me a liar, and treated me like shiat.

I was stupid and tried to be nice and cooperative. Lesson learned. I will never again open my door for a cop without a warrant.

It still raises my blood pressure to recall the demeaning shiat those a$$holes gave me. The worst was a female officer. I should have asked her if her jock strap was chaffing her.

Well, yes. I’m a law-abiding citizen. And based on my observations (your mileage may vary), roughly 20% of cops are no good. They have either ego problems, or escalation problems, or both.

This is simply not acceptable. Would you, say, go to a dental practice where 20% of the dentists actually make matters worse? I wouldn’t.

I get that police work is difficult. But we cannot accept this as an excuse.

When living in a dark tyranny such as ours, no one can question this SWAT raid without expecting repercussions...

Well, what is your solution?

I don’t know of a way to ensure that bad folks are kept out of any profession. You have to wait for them to trip up, and by then the damage is done.

They don’t need no stinkin’ excuse.

Great question. One of the problems is the concept of “qualified immunity”, meaning that bad cops usually cannot be sued personally. The city must pay for their trash behavior.

I would not completely abolish qualified immunity! It is a valid concept in that the police must often make quick decisions while under stress.

But what about the cops who casually violate an innocent person’s constitutional rights? Cops who decide to escalate a situation just for the hell of it. Cops who decide to bully a person just for the hell of it.

Those cops can be sued. But they don’t pay. Their city does. Maybe if the cops themselves paid (and carried their own insurance) there’d be a bit more restraint.

Yep. And I believe the Institute for Justice? recently won such a case sometime in the past year or so.

Watch “Cops” on Fox Business at late night. The chicken shittery of the new younger cops is something to behold. (But then what right thinking human would want to be a cop in today’s Americaca?) They seem to get off majorly on cuffing everybody and their brother on the most picky stuff. The just following orders types. Authorization for SWAT type stuff must push them into a gasm of some sort. Of course doesn’t apply to all and outside of democrat hives is not so prevalent. Bottom line: support the blue is not unconditional..it has to be a two way street.

PS I was one in revolver days.

“I don’t believe that. Cops are like everyone else - there are good and bad.”

So if a burglar goes into a house he is obviously a “bad” right? Is his partner who is out sitting in the car waiting for him “good” because he is “technically” not in the house taking stuff too?

I have no idea what relevance that has to the case at hand.

from the story we’re given, we don’t know who mistook the address, who ordered any ‘escalation’, etc.

I’ll ask you the question I asked previously: what is your solution? Do you want to get rid of cops entirely, because they’re so given to ‘bad behavior’? or, How would you improve their performance?

I know how things are now but this was 20 years ago. I was in my own home which I had owned for 20 years and I was being very polite and cooperative and being treated like absolute shit. Well, one time and that’s it. Never again. And if the cops don’t like my attitude now then they need to run bitches like that out of the force. Silence is consent. If they can stand by and watch me being treated like that and say nothing, it tells me they agree.

“How would you improve their performance?”

Simple, remove immunity and hold them accountable for failing to self police their own peers and departments. I remember when they took pride in honesty and integrity. They would not stand one minute for a bad pickle spoiling the whole barrel and making them all look bad.

Now days they look the other way and could care less what kind of image they have as an industry.

They should have to pay for malpractice insurance.

No need for taxpayers to payout and at some point the bad ones become uninsurable.

The PoPo swat needs to be exterminated. If the concern is so vast that military tactics need to be used the repercussions should be easy. Hang the war criminals. Otherwise it’s justified. If not everyone involved should hang. Easy. Either everyone will go or not.
