In some of his strongest public comments to date acknowledging criticism of Israel's retaliatory campaign in Gaza, President Joe Biden on Tuesday said that the country was starting to lose support around the world due to what he said was "the indiscriminate bombing that takes place."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a "tough decision to make," Biden said during a fundraising event, while noting that Netanyahu understands that "he's got to make some moves to strengthen [the Palestinian Authority] -- strengthen it, change it, move it."
"You cannot say there's no Palestinian state at all in the future. And that's going to be the hard part," he added, according to a transcript of his remarks at a closed-door reception in Washington.

poor abc, just wishful thinking like joe
I know Israel didn’t start this and they have every right to defend themselves, I just think they are going about it the wrong way. And now Netanyahu wants to push Hezbollah back to the Litani river, another huge mistake. Netanyahu will do the same in Lebanon as he is doing in Gaza, indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas and infrastructure. The last time Israel moved into southern Lebanon they were forced to retreat because of growing casualties. Well Hezbollah is much stronger now possessing much more accurate missiles so Israel itself is going to be hit hard. Iran is now a Russian ally and if this war goes regional Israel is screwed. Iran has supersonic missiles and drones that can bypass Iron Dome.
Sure Israel can take out Iran’s oil infrastructure but then Iran takes out Israel’s Tamar gas fields. Israel is risking it all if they widen this war, and that’s exactly what Netanyahu wants to do. Israel seems to be operating more on emotion instead of calmly and objectively taking into account the realities.
TOTAL B S.
KEEP in mind: The name Hussein is NOT allowed to be used outside the MUSLIM world.
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.
Not on my end. It is gaining Support here!!
Ask yourself this? If you were the head of Israel what would you do? When did you serve in uniform? Your MOS?
Only a Turkey would say something like that.
I have it on pretty good authority, that God is still on
Israel’s side.
You won’t find me on another.
“Israel is risking it all if they widen this war, and that’s exactly what Netanyahu wants to do.”
My impression was that out of the War Cabinet, Netanyahu most wanted to limit the war to Gaza and not do much in Lebanon or Syria.
Iran has already stated they will not enter this war, and neither will Hezbollah.
Israel should ignore international pressure, and not sacrifice their soldiers to avoid casualties amongst a terrrorist supporting civilian population.
I’ve never claimed to have served but my father served in the 101st Airborne Division if that counts for anything. What would I do if I was Israel? Well I admit they are in a very tough situation. It’s almost impossible to totally eliminate Hamas without Israel suffering unacceptable casualties. But it’s clear Netanyahu was intending to clear out Gaza completely and send the Arabs elsewhere, but as you can see that’s unlikely to happen now. Even the US won’t support that.
Israel is a tiny country in the midst of hostile neighbors they will have to deal with. Now they’ve created a humanitarian crisis turning much of the world against them. While they are a powerful country they can’t afford to alienate everyone thinking the US will rescue them. That’s just not going to happen. Personally I think Israel has PTSD from Oct 7 and is just going for broke if Netanyahu gets his way. This is dangerous thinking on their part. The US doesn’t have anywhere near sufficient forces in place to protect them and the majority of Americans aren’t interested in another war. I just see this whole thing developing into a catastrophe.
There was a news report the other day that said Israel was requesting weapons from the US that would be of little use in Gaza but would be needed if they engage Hezbollah. Trust me Netanyahu intends to push them back to the Litani river because otherwise those Israelis who lived in the northern territory won’t return there without a buffer zone. Whether the US can dissuade them from this is questionable.
Okay, then I’m beginning to believe his master do not support Israel. :-)
It now seems that they’re past the ‘indiscriminate bombing’ stage and into the ‘indiscriminate flooding’ stage, to be followed by the ‘indiscriminate victory’ stage.
No. Israel doesn't have the ammunition to waste like that. This is Biden and Democrats buying Hamas propaganda.
...Netanyahu understands that "he's got to make some moves to strengthen [the Palestinian Authority] -- strengthen it, change it, move it."
No Biden, unlike you Netanyahu understands that Hamas has to be wiped off the face of the earth to the extent possible if there's going to be a lasting peace.
Flooding the tunnels would not be indiscriminate, it would be directly against Hamas and something they should have done in the beginning assuming this would work. There was some question though as to how effective it would be because they weren’t certain whether the water would drain away quicker than they could flood it. Apparently the rock there is somewhat porous.
“You cannot say there’s no Palestinian state at all in the future.”
No Palestinian state is actially the best solution. The so called Palestinian areas need to become parts of Jordan and Egypt then the so called Palestinians in those areas need to be dealt with in the way Islamic governments deal with trouble makers.
There won’t be a two state solution because even the Palestinian Authority wants to destroy Israel. The PA is almost as bad as Hamas.
Indiscriminate Bombing? BS...nobody is better at specific targeting than Israel and almost all bombs nowadays are not iron dumb bombs
No, it’s Biden that is losing support from the Muslim voting block.
That is not what this reporting suggests.
