The only liberal I know smugly assured me that ‘we don’t want to take your guns’ -

I set her straight.

Our distributors already are short on 5.56 and .223. It’s still out there but the price is going up.

I’m okay with primers and slugs but I’d better pick up another couple of cans of powder. I loved Dupont SR 7625 for pistol loads in 38 Special, 45 ACP, and 41 magnum but that clean powder is now discontinued. Why??? I’m still in mourning.

Trying. I’m sick of this. Bastards have a monopoly on ammo.

They own CCI, Federal and Remington and it wouldn’t surprise me if VSTO, was behind the fire at Hornady’s in October. “You have a nice manufacturing facility there, we’d like to buy it, before anything bad could happen…”

Creating a shortage to justify scamming people and jacking the prices.

I've been buying sparingly and not shooting at all. Very disappointing. I haven't renewed my range membership in the last 2 years. Last time I did, it was $500 for a couples membership for the year. We went to the range twice. $250 per trip. I didn't renew the outdoor range either.

Before I moved to Idaho, my annual range membership was leveraged 5 days a week. Sunday nights were spent listening to Matt Drudge on KOGO while loading another 1200 rounds of 38SPL. That was 1999. I miss my range time. It has just become prohibitively expensive and/or impossible with empty shelves. A lack of primers prevented loading more on my own bench.

Wasn’t Vista outdoor just purchased by a Chec group along with some other firearm companies.

Serious question,

How long is powder good for in the unopened canister?

Might have to repackage into brass sub-units…

I got a bunch of powder. Need to stock up on primers. I figure bullets will always be available.

They won’t need to take your guns...they’ll just wipe out ammo supplies.

I believe this began under Obama and his attempt to buyup all the ammo available.
wish I had back the 400 rounds of M-2 Ball I shot up 5 years ago.

Found two 500 rd boxes of Federal .22 I bought back in the early 1980s. Hope it still shoots!

Not like the good old days of 1968 when the gun stores were still selling army surplus ammo from WW II. I shot up a lot of nazi marked 9 MM ammo back then. Found it corrodes the barrel real quick if not immediately cleaned.

Then came the 1968 Gun Control Law and a sudden squeeze on ammo and firearms by the Lyndon Johnson Admin.

“Today we begin to disarm the criminal and the careless and the insane. All of our people who are deeply concerned in this country about law and order should hail this day.”-— Lyndon Johnson signing the 1968 gun control act into law.

And Thomas J. Dodd, who wrote the 1968 gun control act using the 1938 Nazi weapons law as a pattern...

“No one can predict how many lives will be spared because of this bill, but, if the bloody record of our yesterdays is any measure, millions of future Americans will live to enjoy the promise of many peaceful tomorrows.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to play a part in this great moment in our time.”— Thomas J. Dodd on passage of the 1968 Gun control act.

I got lucky. A relative died and me a ton of 44 mag ammo. I don’t shoot 44 mag but a friend does and he trades me 10 pounds of Varget powder for the whole lot. We both think we got the better end of of the deal which is the definition of a good trade.

Anyone that isn’t stocked up hasn’t been paying attention. I began when Bill Clinton began running his mouth.
