You are very naive huh
The Republican white shoe & blue blazer crowd strikes again, and the Ds celebrate.!
Indeed!
They threw him out because his cowardly GOP colleagues — particularly the 5 freshmen liberal Republicans from New York — didn’t want his “taint” on them when running for re-election next year.
With or without Santos on the ballot, the House Republicans were going to lose at least a few seats in New York because those wins were nothing but flukes in 2022 anyway. Then factor in that the Democrats are trying to redraw the lines in New York before 2024 and it would REALLY be a bloodbath in that state.
Racist liberal judges have already cost Republicans House seats in Alabama and Louisiana, and they’re trying to do the same in Georgia. And Florida. And Tennessee. And South Carolina.
Then Wisconsin will redraw their lines to screw Republicans — just because they can — and that will cost 2 seats.
The only mitigating factor is that the GOP may pick up 2 or 3 seats in North Carolina, assuming the new map doesn’t get held up or squashed in court.
Even without any further partisan Democrat gerrymandering, Republican chances of holding the House after 2024 were 50-50 at best. They’ve got a better chance of getting to 51 in the Senate (as if that means “control”) than 218 in the House.
But now that Santos is gone, those chances surely increase astronomically. /s
He should sneak back int0 congress claiming g to be an illegal alien congressperson, that way they won’t dare throw him out again
How is it that liars get to expel a liar? What’s the standard?
sure, if you believe that you believe the media will reform, do the right thing, change and start supporting conservatives.
“No Member of Congress has ever been expelled without a conviction; this is a dangerous precedent and I am voting no based upon my concerns regarding due process. I have said from the beginning that this process will play out in the judicial system which it currently is,” Rep. Elise Stefanik, the No. 3 House Republican, wrote in a post to X.
Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said voters in Santos’ district should ultimately decide if he should remain in Congress.
“I'm against expelling Mr. Santos,” Jordan said on Newsmax.
Not a single dem will vote to expel a dem.
Time to go after Schiffty, Jamaal and others.
We don't need no Due Process.
Unbelievable.
You were obviously for the two Trump impeachments.
Nothing like a sham to get your blood going, in the morning, huh?
All of Washington D.C. needs to be thrown out of America. Its the only slim chance of preserving anything of what used to be a nation.
If they expelled jerks, there wouldn’t be anyone left in Congress.
“Unlike Democrats we don’t cover up for bad republicans. Well not always. Santos was corrupted and deserved it.”
“Unlike the Democrats” would be more persuasive were it not that most Republicans voted against expelling him.
Nonsense. Santos ran as MAGA and has voted MAGA.
Re: 54 - oh, good grief.
The Impeachments and this Expulsion are not related other than they are both non-judicial actions.
Assuming these are not “Trumped up” charges, why would any R vote nay? Makes us look as bad as Ds, who back their own criminals to the hilt.
