Expelled without due process -- no trial, no conviction. It's "guilty" before the question of "guilt" or "innocence" even comes up.

Even if he was a liberal democrat I would not support this. Once convicted, sure, but up until that point it's between him and his voting district. Let the voters recall or primary him.
