Friends of mine, Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore (both RIP), wrote the English lyrics. They also wrote “I Can’t halp Falling In Love With You” for Elvis.

The melody was from South Africa and was written by a man named Solomon Linda. It was originally in the Zulu Language.

Disney used the song WITHOUT PERMISSION in the opening scene of The Lio0n King.

Boy oh boy did they get SUED! LOL!
