Around 2016, an acquaintance asked which person, in a long life, he felt most grateful to.

“My second wife’s first husband,” Munger said instantly. “I had the ungrudging love of this magnificent woman for 60 years simply by being a somewhat less awful husband than he was.”

At Berkshire’s annual meeting in 2000, a shareholder asked how the speculation in Internet stocks would affect the economy. Buffett answered with nearly 550 words. Munger growled, “if you mix raisins with turds, they’re still turds.”

Otis Booth died a few years ago, so it’s just Warren Buffet left out of the trio

Can’t say I heard of the guy. Now if they’d said Popeye’s pal Wimpy died, I’d have known who they were talking about.

Took long enough.
I mean, what a long life.
Not sure I have much to say, though.

Look up on internet the following: “UCSB” and “dormzilla” for some things Mr. Munger was involved in. Kudos anyway and RIP. But not even very wealthy people are perfect.

Warren Buffet is worth about $120 billion, while Charlie Munger is worth a “mere “ $2.5 Billion.

While both Munger and Buffett are value investors, they have different approaches to investing. Buffett is known for his willingness to hold onto investments for the long term, even through periods of volatility. Munger, on the other hand, is more willing to sell investments if he believes they are no longer undervalued. This difference in approach has led to Buffett accumulating a larger fortune over time.

Both Munger and Buffett are known for their philanthropy. However, Munger has already given away a larger percentage of his wealth than Buffett. As of 2023, Munger has donated over 99% of his wealth to charity, while Buffett has pledged to donate over 99% of his Berkshire Hathaway stock to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. This difference in charitable giving has reduced Munger’s net worth compared to Buffett’s.
