On Thanksgiving, Hamas was supposed to release the first group of 50 hostages. If it does so on Friday, children, mothers, and elderly women will be freed from more than a month and a half in the clutches of one of the most barbaric terrorist organizations to ever exist on the face of the Earth.
Moreover, something truly historic will occur if the deal is truly fulfilled in its entirety: The International Committee of the Red Cross will be allowed to visit Israeli hostages in Hamas captivity and provide them with medical assistance.
In 2009, following Operation Cast Lead, the first of what was to become many Hamas-launched wars against Israel from Gaza, my US high school, HAFTR, brought 30 high schoolers from Sderot to New York to offer them a chance to enjoy a vacation and interact with American Jewish students following the trauma of having hundreds of rockets launched at their homes and schools by Hamas.
During their stay, the Sderot students joined us and other Jewish high schools in the New York area for a demonstration outside the Red Cross building in Manhattan to protest the organization’s inaction in the plight of Gilad Shalit....
During this rally, I led the students in chanting “Do your job” at the Red Cross. I yelled those three words so much that I lost my voice by the end of the rally.
Because when it comes to the human rights of Israelis, the Red Cross has never done its job.

Goes back the better part of the 20th Century. The IRC gave a glowing review of Theresienstadt, the "model" concentration camp (found the collection of poems and drawings by dead children who were inmates there before being killed; knew it was in my personal library somewhere).
He didn't have money for plane tickets.
I took him to the Red Cross.
No help.
Then Salvation Army. They had him on a plane home the next day.
Discussing the matter with other, I found out that was normal.
I will NEVER give a dime to the Red Cross.
Clara Barton wouldn’t know the organization anymore.
I agree with you. I’ve even blocked their phone #s.
November 27, 2021 05:23 PM. The Salvation Army recently defended an internal racism guide that discouraged "colorblindness" and encouraged staff members to "apologize for being white" after [...]
Regards,
I don’t trust the Red Cross. I remember contributing toward a surgery for a child they said lacked funds for getting the surgery. Later, we found out that the hospital would have performed the surgery anyway. Red Cross = liars.
My dad used to give blood to the Red Cross religiously and he had a collection of pins they used to give out for so many(gallons?) of blood. That is until he heard of the way they treated our soldiers(I forgot what it was as I was young and didn’t pay attention as I should.
He’d argue he’d never give them another drop of his blood and he didn’t.
So the Red Cross gave a glowing review of Theresienstadt at the exact time they were charging US soldiers for a coffee and donut?
Classy
Over time, charities that are not specifically conservative, move left and become corrupt, but I think I have repeated myself.
I am pretty sure the Red Cross has out posts in Mexico to help illegals enter our country.
Yep - the Salvation Army is the best one out there. The Red Cross is like AARP - a commie enterprise and it bribes folks with gifts to donate blood because it charges premium prices - even to the military for blood that was donated on military installations...
Every guy I met who had served in Vietnam HATED the Red Cross. There were different reasons, but the hate was constant.
“the Salvation Army is the best one out there”
It used to be OK until they went racist woke about 4 or 5 years ago. That’s when I stopped ringing bells for them.
I’d go with Sameritan’s Purse before either RC or SA.
The red cross is a leftist run communist organization.
Period
I have a little respect for the Red Cross, any of their various forms. I’m also bothered by how insensitive we have become to the fact that these are hostages, held by terrorist, and are not legitimate prisoners of war. Hamas murdered, raped, and took people hostage. Yes, it is good if they can finally do something constructive and visit the hostages, assess their needs, give them medical attention. Then they should share where they are held so that Israel in the United States and other countries can go in and retrieve them. Once they are retrieved, every last member and supporter of Hamas needs to be tracked down and killed.
Got more than a snippet?
I do not, donate to the Red Cross, rarely to Salvation Army or Goodwill. All of these groups place American interest second or ant the bottom of the list and with the Red Cross, they spend way too much money on politics, on their buildings, on their salaries.
I won’t either. I remember in basic being marched down to a building run by the RC and they took my blood. They had a little cup of juice and a cookie afterwards. I was thirsty and asked for some water. The RC witch told me to get out.
As for the Guam thing, during a verified emergency, the government got me (from Okinawa) to California on a C-141 emergency leave. I paid the $64 standby fare from LA to ATL on a huge, nearly empty 747.
Can't you do your own homework!?
