House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) released all the 44,000 hours of Jan. 6 footage. Immediately, the release blew apart the Jan. 6 Committee's narrative about the event. .
The video release showed why they were likely suppressed. They included police escorting peaceful protesters walking through the Capitol, even shaking their hands. There was even a video showing one "protester" who appeared to have been cuffed, then taken to an area by the Capitol Police, where he was released and fist-bumped one of the officers.
...
That raised many questions about whether the man released was an undercover officer, which then again raises the question about the involvement of law enforcement in the action.
But that didn't make people like former Rep. Liz Cheney happy that people were seeing things that her Committee didn't reveal. The Committee's main focus seemed to be to attack former President Donald Trump and the Republicans before the 2022 election and emphasize the violence. It's one of the reasons that Cheney lost her Wyoming race by almost 40 percentage points because folks in Wyoming wanted someone who was going to serve them and not her obsession with Trump. But video that showed people being escorted by the police or shaking hands with the police tended to blow up the narrative Cheney and the Committee were pushing.
Cheney didn't want this revealed. Cheney threw a tantrum about the release of the footage and tried to head off the damage from the revealed reality.
But Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wasn't going to let her get away with that, and he spoke for a lot of us as he nuked her in response.
...
"Liz, we’ve seen footage like that a million times," Lee scolded her.
"You made sure we saw that—and nothing else. It’s the other stuff—what you deliberately hid from us—that we find so upsetting. Nice try. P.S. How many of these guys are feds? (As if you’d ever tell us)."
...
He then said they needed to investigate the Jan. 6 Committee.
Exactly. They had an obligation to reveal this and yet, they didn't. Cheney and her Committee cherry picked what served their narrative and left things that didn't help the narrative out of their presentation.
How many people were jailed for simply walking through the Capitol, who didn't hurt anyone and weren't in any way violent? And if those people had been involved in a leftist action -- doing the same thing -- we know the likelihood is that they wouldn't have faced the same consequences. How many undercover people were there, and what did they do? The Committee doesn't want us to know that -- a U.S. Senator hasn't even been told the truth on this.
The American people have a right to know the full truth. But that wasn't what they were getting from the Committee.
Paging John SULLIVAN
I think you have some explaining to do
Never forget, the January 6th Committee destroyed all of their records from their hearings.
I’m starting to like Mike Johnson more with the stuff he’s doing. Hopefully there will be a new “Investigate the Jan 6 Committee” that will file charges against Liz Cheney and her sister Adam Shiff.
There was going to be a valid discussion of the Voting Irregularities, but it never got to the floor, and Pence nixed it anyway.
I think people like McConnell, Pence, Romney along with the democrats were behind this.
I recall LIVE footage. IT showed guys in camouflage. Obviously, SWAT or SEAL team members
Who has access to the tapes? If you get some people from this forum, they will identify all the plants there.
This is going to blow up....
The people wearing masks were feds and Antifa
Bet on it
Ditto... He is a fiction writer..
“I want to see a real “Congressional Committee””
The stupid party should have started that committee back in Jan. of 2023 but I’ll bet that McCarthy would have stopped it.
The J-6 committee members covered up the murder of Ashley Babbitt.
Since when do accomplice’s to murder get to walk away from a crime? Every damn member of that committee participated in the cover up of a capital crime and should be charged.
I believe January 6th was a set-up...
Look at what happened because of January 6. This was used to quash any questioning of the legitimacy of the votes from PA, AZ, MI, GA. It then led to the unprecedented second impeachment of Donald Trump. For two years the House January 6 committee, with cross-examination of witnesses was not permitted. And now, President Trump is facing criminal charges in two jurisdictions for what he did or didn’t do on January 6.
So who benefited from what happened on January 6? There is only one answer.
The Jan. 6 Committee’s need to be charged with obstruction of justice for altering the evidence.
We are so near to the point of no return. They truly want us all dead.
Mike Le is one of the best we have.
destruction of evidence
where are the charges?
They do it BECAUSE they KNOW there will NEVER be charges NEVER!! I am sick to death of the money spent on USELESS committees and STRONGLY worded letters SPIT!! It is ALL just a joke anymore they are ALL one big club against the people of this country AND their so,e purpose is to make themselves wealthy on our dime!!
They should talk to Musk. I'd bet he could have a site set up in hours to take ALL of the footage, and set it up so that the American people could go through it all in a day or two and flag everything that as "interesting".
The January 6 protest was a public response to the massive and open voter fraud and election interference that occurred in 2020, the year of COVID-19.
It was also the result of the massive coverup of these crimes and the refusal of anyone in government to allow the redress of grievances we experienced that year.
The crimes that the January 6 protest was a response to were big enough to justify an actual revolution, but we have not mustered the will nor the ability to carry one out YET.
I think this will change. And I think the whole stinking cabal is going to fry.
