Are they gonna finally put some desperately needed Starbucks in America’s food deserts at last?
If they build it people will come…
(Or not)
The usual evolution of such establishments is to expand and upgrade product to attract more customers. I expect Starbucks will start to look and function more and more like a fast food outlet than a coffee shop. Probably good for the stock price, but otherwise, meh. Who cares. Let them compete with MickeyD and Dunkin.
Good Luck with that. The Hama supporters are boycotting.
Maybe the new ones will be Robot Controlled only, except one person to monitor the batteries and software.
I saw what you did there. ;-)))
The coffee that was first advertised in a TV show made me want one.
It made grocery shopping a treat.
They kept getting terrible so I stopped.
Gee, what the country needs - more outlets for burned overpriced coffee. I drink at least 4 large cups of Maxwell House French Blend a day and a $10 container lasts about a month. Works for me.
A growing share of a shrinking market is a bad business plan
Does this include a Starbucks brand coffee/vending machine?
I’d imagine a business like this is highly dependent on location and saturation. Being available and convenient.
Some years ago, there was a study that determined opening another Starbucks across the street from an existing Starbucks would bring new business without decreasing traffic at the first shop. Don’t know if that still holds true.
They have added about four new traffic jams, I mean, stores in my town of 100,000. They seem to be thriving although there are several new competitors selling the same brown bilge water. Coffee, a vile concoction.
In Redmond OR, anyone who finds Junction Roastery would never go the Starbucks. I imagine the same is true of so many other cities.
Well, there IS a sucker born every minute...
Robots/automation. There can’t be such growth without getting rid of humans.
They are teaming up with Dollar General.
Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd?
Malcolm X Blvd?🤔
Not in US I bet
Just 17,000 more stores to avoid.
Whatever happened to the automatic timer coffee maker that has the coffee ready when you wake up? It’s better tasting than that nasty burnt crap Starpukes sells.
It’s kinda funny watching people speed into these places nearly causing accidents just to get in line at the drive up to get their coffee. They risk being late for work, look like fools rushing around and are a safety hazard.
