The new Speaker of the House Mike Johnson once attributed the fall of the Roman Empire to homosexuality, resurfaced audio from 2008 has revealed.
Johnson suggests historians might consider the decline of Rome as partially related to a societal loss of morals and widespread homosexual behavior condoned during that period.
In the past, Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, has frequently disparaged homosexuality.
But it was during a radio interview he could be heard advocating for the criminalization of gay sex and went so far as to partially blame it for the fall of the Roman Empire.
Some credit to the fall of Rome to not only the deprivation of the society and the loss of morals, but also to the rampant homosexual behavior that was condoned by the society,' Johnson said.
'One of the primary sources of Johnson criticism has been his stance on LGBTQ issues, as he has been a consistent opponent of federal protections for same-sex marriage.
Johnson was once closely associated with Exodus International, a now-defunct group that promoted LGBTQ 'conversion therapy'.
The discredited practice aimed to change a person's sexual orientation or gender identity through various means, including prayer and counseling.
Exodus International was a highly controversial 'ex-gay' organization that ceased operations in 2013. The group's former president, Alan Chambers, issued an apology for the harm it had caused to the LGBTQ community.
Between 2006 and 2010, while Johnson was an attorney for the conservative legal advocacy group Alliance Defense Fund - an organization labeled as an extremist hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center because of its long-standing opposition to LGBTQ rights.

This attack on Johnson sounds gay.....

The SOTHOR is spot on, IMHO.
If we can keep Mike as Speaker we just might be able to keep this Republic.
He’s not wrong. It’s not just homosexuality itself, but what it represented. Homosexuals only care about their pleasure in life, no matter the cost to society. When you have most people thinking of just themselves, regardless of the cost to society, you will have societal collapse.
OMG!!!! He is right again!!!
I fail to see how that is a BAD thing.
Does a GloboHomo Whirlwind/Waterspout do much damage as it BLOWS through?
GMAFB....
Oh, no! They’ve got him now!/s
Gee The pubbies got something right for once.
Historically, whenever a society reaches a critical mass of homosexuality and homosexual behavior, bad things start happening.
There are entirely too many microscopic minorities in America glued and patched together, and vastly over-magnified, by Satanic smartphone technology and an overbearing computerized social media. Hit the satellites and these splinter groups with their foul big mouths and tiny destructive brains will evaporate into thin air. Where they belong. You won’t even be able to hear them yell and scream.
Mike Johnson follows Trumps lead
2 genders to start with
2 quotes from the Bible each day
As for 2 scoops....make it two of the little crusty breads that Catholics use.
Good.
I would say that, following Romans 1, that massive homosexuality is a consequence of widespread idolatry, which itself is a consequence of refusing to acknowledge God as Creator, and give thanks.
So when you have wall-to-wall faggotry like Ancient Rome, or current year Globohomo Empire, it results from people adopting idolatries of various kinds, and the Lord “gives them over” to their shameful lusts.
So I would say Johnson is correct about Ancient Rome, although perhaps a result as much as a cause.
If Globohomo takes after the behavior of the Men of Sodom / Men of Gibeah then the Globohomo Empire will probably be destroyed just as those evil cities were.
The Southern Poverty Law Center is a radical hate group.
It’s highly unlikely the Roman Empire declined due to homosexuality or even immorality, especially because the Empire had converted to Christianity. But Johnson had every right to speculate on that.
well, he’s not wrong
And all this concerns the author, Gordon, why?
