Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. appears to pull more support from former President Trump than President Biden in a hypothetical general election matchup, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday showed Biden narrowly ahead of Trump by 1 point, 47 percent to 46 percent, within the margin of error, in a head-to-head matchup. But with Kennedy in a three-way race, Biden is ahead with 39 percent to Trump’s 36 percent and Kennedy’s 22 percent.
Pollsters found independents are almost evenly split among the three candidates, with 36 percent supporting Kennedy, 31 percent backing Trump and 30 percent with Biden.

It hardly matters. His presence in the race will primarily provide cover for the Democrats’ cheating mechanisms that will have Biden (or whoever the nominee turns out to be) getting an unreasonable number of votes over Trump. They will “win” again if for no other reason than they have to; not just to hold onto power, but also to stay out of prison, which would be a very real possibility for many of them if an honest DOJ is established by a Republican president. And while the presence of RFJ Jr. in the race will give them a way to explain absurd vote counts and patterns; ultimately, no matter how extensive and obvious the cheating is, they’ll essentially be in a position to say “what are you going to do about it?”, because they’ll still own the DOJ, the media and legions of useful idiots who will support and defend them.
The only way we win is if a significant number of the people who would be active in achieving the fraudulent vote counts (the 2000 mules, for instance) are unhappy enough with life under Biden that they don’t cooperate this time.

I agree. And until we learn who the Democrat/Communist Party's nominee is -- and it sure as hell won't be F-JB -- the effect of Junior's campaign on Trump is not determinable as the Democrat/Communist Party's nominee will have a potentially significant effect on this political calculation.

I think you underestimate the number of Republican voters who are fed up with all the drama surrounding Trump and wish he would just go away. And they think Biden is a total idiot and would no way vote for him. So RFK Jr is a protest vote.

I don’t think I do. While I am tired of it too, and I know DJT draws a lot of his own fire, the overwhelming majority of the drama is manufactured by the left for the sole purpose of wearing down his base. I won’t fall party to it.
Assuming there is any validity to their numbers, a move from a 1-point lead to a 3-point lead could be nothing more than statistical noise.
