Freepers: Wherever you stand on the aid I reckon this is a showdown or fight worth having.

The GOP needs to hold the line and let him veto the aid to Israel.

When did the OMB becone a political agency? Guess we’re going to have to defund it, and create an agency, in it’s place, that is in charge of balancing our budget, through accurate, and non-partisan
budget forcasts.

” hold the line “

Yes ... now is the time ... this is the issue ..

The tide can turn if the line is held.

This battle will set the field.

On the immediate measure, due to Senate Dem support, the Biden White House may get its way after a veto. The House GOP though has an effective fallback: a government shutdown in a few weeks unless the IRS cuts and other measures are accepted.

There could be other off-sets for increased aid to Ukraine. Maybe re-opening energy development. As for aid to Gaza, no. As for increased aid to illegal aliens, no. As for aid to Taiwan, I don’t think we’re talking of aid, but rather increased defense spending. There could be yet other off-sets.

Instead of adding another $108 billion to the deficit per Biden’s request, let’s see if we can hold the line. As it is, the deficit currently is $2.7 trillion, and that’s way, way too high.

So much for our “unwavering support” for Israel.

One of the biggest problems w/Congress.

It’s got to be an omnibus spending bill or nothing because they can’t get enough folks to sign up for it.

Since they can’t break that habit, it’ll be the ruin of us.

It wouldn't be a "House" bill after the Senate concurs.

Then it would be Biden who is the obstructionist. Why would Biden veto a bill that Schumer signed off on?

The IRS 87,000 new agents equals about six Army divisions.

"The proposal would cut IRS funding included in the Inflation Reduction Act, a sweeping tax, health and climate bill signed into law last year as one of Biden’s signature policy accomplishments."

Hahahaha!! Nice try Brett Samuels aka Biden ball washer.

I think Biden is being set up. Saying no because of the IRS budget cuts?

Let's see if the House resubmits it without the cut.

And it's got to get through the Senate first. And if it gets though the Senate, will Biden still veto...and go against the will of the people??

For every dollar of aid, there should be some cut in spending, starting with the IRS good.

“bipartisan precedent” = “uniparty precedent”

Invoke the “hastert rule”. No funding for Ukraine.

In fact, no funding for Israel unless there is equal dollar for dollar expenditures on extending the wall in the same way that Trump upgraded it.

Pass the spending bill in the House.
Vote up/down in the Senate.
If passed, send to POTUS for signature, if not passed, Conference with Senate.
Revote in both Houses.
Back to POTUS for sig.
Try an an Override if no Prez sig.

That’s REGULAR ORDER.
That’s what we want.

Every rotten scoundrel and corrupt Swamp Creature on the record with a vote for specific bills, no Omnibus hidden crapola.

Then we can judge who gets the rope and who gets our vote.

I am a senior.
I raised 5 kids to be successful and Godly adults
We started with nothing and never expected the government to take care of us.
We paid taxes. We served our country.
I remember WWII. We united against an enemy and won.

Today we have a leaderless, ungodly, government selling the citizens to the wind.. Letting the world invade our borders, bringing in terrorists, disease, and losing our freedoms and our greatness to the wind.

The unelected government is committing treason.. Exposing citizens to dangers and they don’t care

Never.. Never.. Did I ever think our United States would capitulate to surrender to the dark forces of control....

They have taken the election process and thrown it out..
Taken control over the top positions and installed their own controlled, power driven destructive edict on every person living in the land of the past free and brave....

I weep over this great land.. Destroyed by evil controlled ignorant thugs.

Let him veto it.

Better yet — let Democrats like Chuck Schumer and Jerry Nadler and Adam Schiff explain to their rabbis why they oppose this legislation.
