On the immediate measure, due to Senate Dem support, the Biden White House may get its way after a veto. The House GOP though has an effective fallback: a government shutdown in a few weeks unless the IRS cuts and other measures are accepted.

What I like about this approach from Johnson is that they are trying to pass a full funding of the budget, meaning that if the government shuts down, it will be directly from Biden's vetoes.

And even though the media will try to minimize Biden's role, it will be clear that for once, the GOP House is doing it's job.
