Turkey's president appears to have threatened to intervene in Gaza in an impassioned speech at a pro-Palestine rally this evening.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech to a rally this afternoon in which he told attendees Israel was responsible for war crimes, and framed Hamas as "freedom fighters".
In comments that have prompted Israeli outcry, and led the country to withdraw its diplomatic presence, president Erdogan suggested assaults on Gaza constituted a "massacre".
In the same speech, he reportedly said that Turkey can "come at any night unexpectedly” to ecstatic reception from hundreds of thousands of attendees.
The footage, which was shown on X, formerly known as Twitter, said the pro-Palestine crowd responded with the chant: “Turkish military to Gaza.”

Wow. He is a rock star. Looks tough.
That’s better. I was dumbfounded at your previous post.
Now it’s getting dicey.
Turkey needs to leave NATO.
They are making aggressive moves, in support of terrorism.
That’s not consistent with a group interested in self protection.
They are clearly moving in another direction.
Joe Biden is our President so he will do nothing.
.
No, full radical Muslim - - wait, they’re the same.
Yeah, I forgot HTML reads "<" and ">" as code (but not if put in quotes as here) so the previous comment came out all goofed up. Hence replaced with "(" and ")" in my follow-up comment.
While this comment previews properly, may also come out goofed up. If so will try to fix.
If Israel uses a nuke it will be as part of an all-out nuclear attack on all of their enemies simultaneously. That’s the “Samson Option” in which Israel will take everyone else down with them if they feel they are facing imminent destruction and have no other option. If that happens, Pakistan won’t have the chance to help Turkey. The hostile muzzie countries would be wise to take Israel’s doomsday plan seriously. They’re very serious about “Never Again.”
Where did this film come from? It seems spliced to me. Would like to see other photos to believe there were that many there.
Just for fun let’s say Erdogan gets frisky and starts doing stoopid stuff outside his borders——the Kurds will have hisass before the day is over. And Oh, by the way-—we still have a base in Turkey. Might get confuzing for Mumbles.
The NATO treaty requires that if a member nation is attacked, then all other NATO countries must come to its defense. It does not say what happens if a NATO country attacks another country. The only way that Israel is going to hit Turkey is if Turkey hits Israel first. They will then be on their own, and they will not like it.
I am also kind of curious as to how turkey is going to get any significant forces to the front lines with Israel. They don’t have that much of a navy to speak of, and certainly no big landing craft. We have a carrier task force in between Turkey and Israel. If they’re going to move their army on land, they’re going to have to come through Syria And Lebanon, and long before the turks ever arrive, the Israelis will have destroyed every bridge, road junction and rail line, leading from where the turks are to where the front line with Israel would be. This is not like moving pieces on a chessboard, there is an awful lot in the way of logistics involved and it seems to me that Erdogan is just tooting his own horn in order to become more popular and to look like a Moslem leader.
What Erdogan Said At Istanbul Pro-Palestinian Rally | Highlights From Speech
"Israel has been openly committing war crimes for 22 days, but the Western leaders cannot even call on Israel for a ceasefire, let alone react to it.""The main culprit behind the massacre unfolding in Gaza is the West. If we leave aside some conscientious voices... the massacre in Gaza is entirely the work of the West."
"All the Western countries are giving unconditional support to the attacks rather than calling Israel to return to common sense as if they have agreed to say the same thing."
“I reiterate that Hamas is not a terrorist organisation. Israel was very offended by this … Israel is an occupier, Erdogan speaks clearly because Turkey does not owe you anything." "Gaza was an inseparable part of our homeland in the past. Our hearts are wrenching for what is happening in Gaza."
"We will introduce Israel as a war criminal. But Western leaders are not responding- not even calling for a ceasefire. I want to ask how many women, how many children are to die further."
"I am asking from here. For the European Commission to be able to call for a ceasefire - let them give the number - how many more children need to die? For the United Nations Security Council to take action, how many more tonnes of bombs need to fall on Gaza? For Western institutions to say 'stop' to the massacre, how many more women, civilians and elderly need to lose their lives."
Nazislamic Hoardes
Gosh if Erdogan knew his Bible, he'd know sevenfold is the measure. So 1400 * 7 = 9,800,000 dead Gazan golems darn my finger must have slipped on the calculator...
Unless Eygpt cooperates, that’s not going to happen.
Does the US have nuclear weapons in Turkey? NATO. Of the three nuclear powers in NATO (France, the United Kingdom and the United States), only the United States is known to have provided weapons for nuclear sharing. As of November 2009, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey are hosting U.S. nuclear weapons as part of NATO's nuclear sharing policy.
Idle threat to arouse tensions.
He’s not an idiot nor suicidal. If Turkey attacked Israel they’d never know what hit them and be wiped out before they could do any damage at all.
Not gonna happen.
Just getting all the Muzzies to support him.......
War spreading?
