Turkey's president appears to have threatened to intervene in Gaza in an impassioned speech at a pro-Palestine rally this evening.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan delivered a speech to a rally this afternoon in which he told attendees Israel was responsible for war crimes, and framed Hamas as "freedom fighters".

In comments that have prompted Israeli outcry, and led the country to withdraw its diplomatic presence, president Erdogan suggested assaults on Gaza constituted a "massacre".

In the same speech, he reportedly said that Turkey can "come at any night unexpectedly” to ecstatic reception from hundreds of thousands of attendees.

The footage, which was shown on X, formerly known as Twitter, said the pro-Palestine crowd responded with the chant: “Turkish military to Gaza.”

If Turkey commits the full force of its Army, Navy, and Air Force against Israel it would be a formidable force. If such happens a nuke with the Star of David on its casing will be delivered. Israel would have no choice.

I suppose the Falkland War in 1982 shows that a NATO country can engage in a war against opinions in other NATO countries, but what if other NATO countries take an active role in support of different sides? That has not occurred in NATO history as far as I can recall. Suez tested it also. Opposition to U.S. role in Vietnam was not as much at government as citizen level.

Nato was created to fight the Soviet Union, the Soviet Union no longer exists. Therefore, the nato Treaty is obsolete. LEAVE NATO!

Turkey cannot exist without US banks as proven by Donald J Trump in 2019 reference Turkey sanctions over Syria.

It took nine days before Erdogan tapped out.

It’s a triple nelson hammerlock leverage.

Israel is not the USSR, so NATO shouldn’t care about this.

To me, the NGOs who support Hamas and the leftists who demonstrate for Hamas are the threat. Hamas wants to destroy Israel completely and kill Jews, and that’s all.

Islam is spread by the doctrine of “my god can beat up your god.” That is the connotation of “Allahu Akbar”, their battle cry. If they win, they expect you to submit. Since this is holy doctrine, they are not allowed to accept defeat. They sue for ceasefires for a chance to rearm. They will never surrender.

As holy writ for the entire religion, they will not allow each other to surrender. Gaza losing this war is an existential religious crisis. Lands that have been under Islamic control must return to Islamic control... there is no compromise. Once they drive Israel into the sea, they will refocus on Europe and us.

If Israel plans to carry this through to the full destruction of Hamas, they must be prepared to face the wrath of the region. If we are going to support them, we must realize the religious nature of this conflict and be prepared for domestic terrorism (and worse) from muslims.

Erdogan has gone full insane.

This is perhaps how WW3 might start. I hope and pray not!

I wonder if Biden even knows who Erdogan is, or anything about what’s happening right now.

Those 3 letter agencies are all over Turkey. Their currency is down 30% and domestic inflation is 35%. Ergodan is probably just sucking up and throwing red meat for domestic consumption. Anytime 100,000s of people rally a politician is sure to grandstand. But I hope he stays out of it. Listen to Biden, Erdogan. “Don’t”.

Argentina started a war with Great Britain in 1982 when their economy was suffering.
