Now it all comes down to the floor vote. Will he survive that?
“This is all a headfake to put McCarthy back.”

that does seem to be the end game.
Wow, so speaks a gopE Elitist
I like how these guys criticize Russia and Ukraine as “corrupt”.
CNN’s Manu Raju reports 55 Republicans say they will not support Jordan.
“Lettuce see.”
You misspelled “arugula.”
A self inflicted wound that’s not going to heal anytime soon.
Wrong. Mccarthy and paul RYNO and other traitor RINOs are the aholes.
Are you sure Jeffries wouldn’t get more vote last than Jordan?
The Democrats could try to play spoiler, but that aside, the conservative caucus needs to just hold tight. After all, the RINO’s are the ones who have a big problem with government shutdowns. The longer a stalemate lasts, the weaker the RINO’s become.
I called my RINO-leaning Congressman to tell him to support Jim Jordan.
I highly suggest each one of you do the same.
That is already happening. McHenry is working with Dems, giving them everything they want to vote for him or maybe McCarthy?
If Republicans vote for him he will.
Jeffries would need to get a majority to become speaker. A plurality isn’t enough, as I understand it. For Jeffries to get a majority, some Republicans would have to vote for him or abstain.
Jordan is one of the few congressman who asks worthwhile questions of Democrats testifying in Congress. I hope he becomes speaker.
At least one-third
Asking "worthwhile questions" is one thing. Doing something about the answers to those questions is another. I reserve judgment on the guy, especially with his financial allegiance to Big Tech.
I rate a 0% probability that the new speaker will be MAGA (so no Jordan.) A sizable faction of the caucus (especially the Foreign Policy and National Security committee members) is committed to Ukraine aid and will not back a speaker who abandons it.
That’s not talking policy, that’s talking politics.
