For a sneak attack of the size Hamas launched against Israel to have happened (5,000 rockets, parachuters, towns infiltrated, Iranian and, possibly, Ukrainian involvement), there must have been an absolutely epic intelligence failure both in Israel and, to the extent the U.S. helps Israel with information, here in America, too. I have two ideas about how that could have happened, both of which are premised on significant problems within the two country’s intelligence services (especially Israel’s). I’ll start with the one that bespeaks actual evil and then get to the more likely one, which reflects human nature.
Some suggest that the Mossad is no longer working with the Israeli government but is, instead, doing whatever it can to undermine it. I’m perfectly ready to believe that. If you’ve been following the news about the reforms Netanyahu wanted to make to an out-of-control leftist judicial system in Israel, you know that many in the military and the Mossad were against Bibi’s actions. We’ve already seen in America that Deep State members cease to feel loyalty to their country as a whole and, instead, will use their government positions solely to advance one political party over the other.
Thus, it’s possible that anti-government personnel in Israel and anti-Israel personnel in the State Department in America (the ones who maybe could have helped prevent the attack) didn’t pay too much attention to chatter about a Hamas attack. They may have thought it would be like others before, with a little death here and a little death there. That would be enough to harm Netanyahu’s government without seriously harming Israel.
That’s a very scary idea. But here’s something that’s just as disturbing: Nobody caught what was about to happen because of institutional incompetence.

Maybe that’s why the Mossad hasn’t taken out that piece of evil crap Soros.

THIS!!!
My thought.
The American regime supports zttacks by Iran and other groups on Israel while trying to maintain a different public image on it.
It didn’t fit the template. Like 911, where the script was to play along with hijackers and negotiate, an attack of this scope was new territory.
Like 911, a one off, but it only has to work once.
Sometimes the senior folks don't want to hear the negative news...or potential negative news.
Which I imagine in the intelligence world there's always something about to blow up somewhere. And when it doesn't, then it becomes a case of the boy who cried wolf.
Not failure. As planned.
the death toll is allegedly now over 700 according to government spokesman.
Death toll killed by muzzies will go over 1000, according to reasonable reports from several days ago, albeit privately. IDF and Intelligence are slow walking their dereliction.
I heard more explanations.
Israel (and US?) have extremely high tech radio & internet monitoring programs. They have the money & the management.
HAMAS waged a low tech strategy. There were low tech warnings. But there was no hi tech warnings not hi tech confirmation of the low tech warnings. So the warnings were ignored.
Which leads to a point I’ve been making about technology and the military.
Most of our military depends on satelittes, but if WWIII breaks out, the first thing that goes are the satellites....then what?
What did our CIA know and when did they know it? If they had no clue then the agency is worthless.
Groan. Encrypted communications. They were equipped with secure comms. They were trained and ready. The Op order for the attack only went out a few hours beforehand via encrypted comms. Being a holiday it’s easy to see how it was not detected beforehand. It was all small arms, rockets, private vehicles, paragliders, etc. all of which are easy to conceal. Not like tanks and aircraft ramping up for a big operation.
Hamas / Israel
Ukraine / Russia
Same thing
Dnc jihad - shariah
Your question is good. There are 3 or more.
1. Spend big money on more of everything, on satelites that constantly change orbit, on new techologies
2. Avoid non-military mistakes that lead to war:
Don’t negotiate with terrorists.
Don’t have stupid economic and energy policies that finance an aggressor.
3. Both of the above.
4. Prayer
5. ? ? ? ?
Kinda what I’m thinking. No doubt they’ve studied the capabilities and have worked to evade them.
