President Joe Biden on Thursday defended his administration’s decision to waive 26 federal laws in South Texas to allow for construction of roughly 20 miles of additional border wall, saying he had no choice but to use the Trump-era funding for the barrier to stop illegal migration from Mexico.
Asked if he thought such walls work, he said flatly, “No.”
The new construction was announced in June, but the funds were appropriated in 2019 before the Democratic president took office.
Biden said he tried to get lawmakers to redirect the money but Congress refused, and the law requires the funding to be used as approved and the construction to be completed in 2023.
“The money was appropriated for the border wall,” Biden said. “I can’t stop that.” […]
The decision comes as the Biden administration is struggling to manage increasing numbers of migrants at the border and spreading out in the larger U.S. Democratic leaders in New York, Chicago and Washington are asking for federal help to handle the growing numbers of migrants in their cities. There was an article about the Biden administration selling wall construction materials for pennies on the dollar. It wouldn’t surprise me if they sold the materials to a crony business, and will use “Trump” funds to buy the materials back at their original price from the people they sold the materials to. I know, this is just pure speculation, but these skunks are capable of something like this.

And then claim they used up all the money buying the materials back so there is none left for actual construction. Maybe the supplies never moved from where they’ve been since 2021.
They were required by law to spend the money on the wall.
BS, Department of Homeland Security could have just let those funds expire.
The argument is that they would have lost a commensurate amount of funding this year if they did not spend that older money. Again I say BS since the border is such a hot issue I seriously doubt that Congress would not have given DHS what they asked for as long as it was reasonable and going towards actual security.

With Kennedy Manchin and now West running as independents the available votes to over come rodent voter fraud will be reduced significantly.
Each one of these candidates will have their workers at polls to watch for rodent voter fraud and as rodents themselves they will know where to look and whom to look at.

Don’t know how much the money is but I suspect that a tiny bit will be spent on the wall and the rest will go to the Ukraine.
