I listened to Kevin McCarthy’s exit speech. To me, it was clear that the government is his blanky, his Teddy Bear; he wants to snuggle with it, kiss its cute little head and sleep with it. He stated several times that he had “served the people” by reaching a compromise with the Democrats and not shutting the government down. I happen to think the people are best served by having an absolute showdown over an out-of-control government freight train barreling down the tracks with no engineer and no brakes.

I heard some Republican talking heads stating, “well yes, the government is out of control, but now is not the time to have the disruption. We can’t afford to have a government shut down before the election.” And of course, this is what the backboneless blatherers always say, which is why there have been 200 continuing resolutions over the last 46 years.
Here’s the way it works. Congress doesn’t do its job. Instead of fighting over how every penny in an appropriations bill should be spent (and in my world having knife fights and bloody brawls), it doesn’t pass any bills. It then waits to a few days before Christmas and in the dead of night passes a 3,500 page omnibus spending bill loaded with obscene waste and special interest favors. The vacuous airheads for the Deep State and their minions in the media all prate, jabber and patter telling us how little Cindy Lou Hoo is going to have a terrible Christmas if the omnibus bill isn’t passed in 8 hours. On the other hand, it doesn’t seem to bother you at all that McCarthy literally announced to the nation in his presser that he made a deal with Pelosi to stay in power and she double crossed him. He’s not a very bright man if he didn’t see that one coming.

I keep hearing this narrative. What if this is the plan? The plan was to introduce a concept to these RINO’s, namely, Accountability.
For as long as I can remember the McCarthy types have been campaign to the base treating us like rubes. Sell the conservative principles hard during the election and then routinely abandon them in the name of “governing.” I wonder when Pelosi ever gave a crud about that? McCarty’s farewell speech was confirmation of this and reads more like a confession.
Gratz’s plan? To chop off a head and hold it out to the GOPe and say “enough!!” Part of doing that is dancing in the end zone. The hue and cry from the GOPe has been telling. Mitch McConnell- “the House shouldn’t allow Morions to Vacate!!” Uh huh. Funny how the Statists main goal is always to shield from accountability. The Dems have built an entire party on it- it’s called election fraud.
Enough of the Bush era “tell the rubes one thing and then pander to the dem base, be intimidated by the media and apologize for those damn deplorables who try to hold you hostage.” The GOPe’s favorite pastime? Accepting with gusto whatever left wing narrative that is advanced and then grovel.
What if Gaetz and his accountability wing will likely not raise a stink the next speaker election? Where does that leave the narrative then? The plan? The plan is and was evident. The people crafting the narrative hate that plan- ACCOUNTABILITY!!

RINOS don’t fight leftists, they claim their enemies are conservatives and that is who they fight. McCarthy lived with the lib pollster Luntz for years. That is his ilk. Yet the Dems are psycho warriors who attack on all fronts all the time. They invent massive lies like the Mueller investigation, which interfered with the 2018 elections and cost Republican seats. They don’t care about ridiculous preposterous charges, they lie and lie, while the Bidens shakedown nations all over the Earth. No one fights back, and the RINOs aren’t leaders, they are backroom schemes. Enough of them.

There are a LOT of Republicans in the House and Senate who I think actually prefer being second-tier power brokers rather than in-charge brokers. They are less stressed, allowed by Democrats to politely offer up their loyal-but-not-too-vocal objection bleats, and then sit back and feast on the scraps that Democrats deign to give them in budgets as their 'rewards.' they get invited to parties, not treated badly by MSM and get to partake in the vast amenities of being a Congressman without all the partisan hassle that goes with.
I know it's difficult to accept that Gaetz is just another big-spending Republican. But try.
I look at results. The result of what Gaetz did will mean (probably) a better SOTHER. Try to get it.
If satin created an impenetrable border wall for us I’d consider thanking him(her?), at least a nod.
