Rep. Dave Joyce (R-Ohio) said in a Wednesday interview that he would support a theoretical vote to remove from the GOP conference the eight colleagues who voted to oust former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) in the historic Tuesday vote.
“If it was up to me, I’d vote for it,” Joyce said in an interview on CNN’s “Inside Politics.”
“It’s a waste of time having conversations with these people,” he added. “And I think we need to start working and, going forward, as a unified group.”
Joyce, who chairs the moderate caucus known as the Republican Governance Group, criticized his Republican colleagues for participating in conference meetings and then voting against the group’s agenda.
“I don’t see how they can really be part of a conference when … they come on the inside, listen to what’s going on, and go outside and lob bombs in the middle,” Joyce said in the interview.
Joyce’s comments come the day after the House voted for the first time to remove the Speaker of the House. The vote was brought to the floor by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), but seven other Republican members joined Gaetz and every Democratic member to remove McCarthy from his post in a 216-210 vote.
Joyce said he supported “ground-up” decisions, so he was happy the GOP conference decided to return next week to try and elect the next speaker, rather than proceeding with another vote immediately.
“I think it’s important that everybody have an opportunity to take in what’s happening and then make a collective decision when we get back,” Joyce said.

Joyce WHO? Weak sister. Get him a new binary dress.
Gutless and stupid is no way to go through life. He’d be a great guy to have in the foxhole next to you in a shooting war.
The Hill sounds really mad. Anybody they interview is featured because they agree with The Hill.
A uniparty member speaks.
The traitorous eight need to GO.
He is now on the list to be primaried out!
Because they enjoy the chaos is all. Gaetz is just another pied piper who shot down a more conservative budget so he could grandstand about the one that was passed and use it to topple the Speaker. Even at that, no additional war funding was in the bill.
There are 2 congressional leaders. One gets along with Trump and was endorsed by Trump. The other hates Trump. Naturally, we get the Trump-friendly leader tossed and that’s a victory for MAGA or something.
And it was up to me. I would vote him out of office.
Attention good people in Ohio 14th district, YOU HAVE A RINO IN YOUR MIDST.
Time to vote this MORON OUT.
Go ahead and do that. Then the Republicans are no longer the majority in the House.
Idiot.
They are heros.
This guy is sleeping with the enemy and posing as a friend. Definitely no friend to the patriots of America.
I view every rino as a Benedict Arnold clone. Worthless back stabbing traitors.
The eGOP is creating a divide in the party that makes them more like democrats and distances themselves from we Americans.
Have the leftists figured out that Predident Trump as speaker is possible now with a mere house vote?
The RINOs are getting mighty fiesty.
Who is this idiot and is he in a red district?

The Swamp is alive and well, and continues to fester in the Republican caucus. Too many members of the GOP truly believe they are “getting things done” and are “serving their constituencies” by teaming with Democrat/Communists, knowing full well what that America-/American-hating Party is doing to our Republic.
That is the tip off that something good happened for us and something bad happened for them.
He won’t be missed.
