A Bismarck man, George Demarrias, pulled a gun on a customer at McDonald’s after the customer refused to buy him a Big Mac and Happy Meal on Saturday.
According to the arresting affidavit, the customer was going to the Burnt Boat Drive McDonald’s in Bismarck for lunch around 12:48 p.m. on September 30, when Demarrias approached him asking if the customer could buy him a Big Mac and a Happy Meal. The customer then told Demarrias to “go get a job” and walked into the restaurant.
Demarrias followed the customer into the store (which was filled with innocent bystanders, some of whom were children) and pulled out a black handgun from his waistband. He then pointed the gun at the customer and told him what he said was disrespectful.
Demarrias proceeded to call the customer a “son of a *****” before putting the gun back into his waistband and leaving the restaurant.
Police arrived soon after at the restaurant and were able to locate Demarrias. Officers then were able to locate a black Taurus model G3 9mm handgun which Demarrias had hidden in a stroller that was holding his 1-year-old daughter.
Demarrias was then taken into custody and charged with Terrorizing with a Dangerous Weapon (Class C Felony).
A woman who was with Demarrias at the time of the incident was also arrested at the scene after she gave law enforcement a false name when they were interviewing her.
Probably for the one-year-old daughter. My heart hurts for that child.

All he had to do was walk up with his wife and kid and ask and someone would have just bought him the meal.

In the face of a guy humbled by circumstances to the point of having to ask a stranger that sort of a favor, the “get a job” jab was stupidly unnecessary. That’s the sort of knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing, zero-compassion, “Back To The Future” Biff BS that gives leftards all the ammo they need to skewer conservatives all fekking day long.
No, it was out-of-boundds for the guy to draw on him, but he absolutely deserved to get cold cocked, and laid out on the floor like a cod on ice

Giving a rightly humble guy that sort of a verbal slap in the face in the moment of him being at the end of his financial rope... Hell, that’s a dumbass move talking like that to a guy with just about nothing to lose. Sumbitch is lucky he didn’t end up perforated to death.
Happily, the guy only drew on him, and didn’t unload.
Tells me he recognized there was, still, a fair bit left that he could lose.
We’ll see what the Judge says, but in context to all circumstances in-play, if I’m wearing the robe, I’m looking at our ‘victim’ saying, “You! Quit being a dick. The next guy you mouth off to might not let you off so easy. Consider yourself warned by God and take the hint.”
As to the accused, I suppose I’d be bound by sentencing rules, but I see less of a criminal problem, here, than an administrative foul. The guy said his piece and left indicating disgust, but lack of any real malice, despite that the a$$hole deserved a hot, heaping helping.
