Now-former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was stripped of his gavel on Tuesday afternoon via roll-call vote on Rep. Matt Gaetz's (R-FL) motion to vacate the chair, pursuant to rules agreed to by McCarthy in order to clinch victory in his drawn-out race to become speaker in January.

Give Gaetz credit.

The Leftist media gives no notice to Gaetz and instead insist that Trump is behind every victory. Well, there are more Trump students coming. Gaetz is one.

McCarthy is a neverTrumper. You forget that he was aligned with Paul Ryan and Eric Cantor.

That trio had a cover spread on TIME magazine,... titled,
“BIG GUNS”. All suits and ties, arms crossed, smiles and triumph! ESTABLI$HMENT.

Cantor lost his very next election. Paul Ryan, ousted. McCarthy, really ousted. Mules for McConnell, I’d say..

Glad to see Marjorie Taylor Greene, our Rep, didn’t join the “ousters”

The Republic is in disarray.

Say what?

Maybe it's the first small step in finally getting arrayed...

Get stuffed, troll-boi.

RINOs have had their day.

Time for Congress to represent their constituents, not the wishes of the Uniparty!

I guessing a guy from NC might possibly be better then a guy from CA. There are just a whole different set of values in rural NC then in CA.

Just going to have to wait and see. It is going to be interesting to watch. This has never been done before.

What I’d like to know is which useless spineless RINO is going to replace him.

McCarthy did not keep his promises to his OWN CONFERENCE.
RINO’s who supported him will pay a price too.

The Ryan’s and the McCarthy’s and the likes are only there to muddle the republican party until the democrats can steal more seats. They were created for that purpose. This is why the republicans never achieve much when they are supposedly in power. The dark side is always sure to have a plan A, Plan B, Plan C, and so on... All ready to go.

He shouldn’t have lied to that last group of hold-out Republicans to get the job in the first place.

But now what? Jim Jordan would probably be good if he can be persuaded to do it. I’m wondering if maybe Ronny Jackson might be okay. I haven’t seen him mentioned.

The public wanted another Reagan and instead got no one remotely close-the establishment stooge forced on him Bush moved left and every POTUS up to incl Obama moved further left.

Dems lost 1100 elected office fr 2010-2016-a record by 600.

Lerner, Russia, scamdemic, Ukraine-the losing would’ve continued absent 90% industry/institution/billionaires colluding, conspiring to rig elections.

Newt was not a good one. His compact with America was a good effort but Newt was always “buds” with the left. He was so impressed with himself that instead of fighting for America he postured and embraced all sides in an effort to be a “great man” rising above the fray, seeing the big picture.

In all these years he has never been a dependable ally. He certainly took many opportunities to backstab Trump. Excellent mind, incisive wit but not a person to have your back in the trenches.

Read on another thread that McCarthy will post a successor list note that appoints an interim speaker.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if he listed DJT?

"I hear it takes an enormous amount of money to pay for a campaign to get elected to congress."

And then you are beholden to the biggest donors to your campaign. It's sad that this country has turned campaigning for political office, into a corrupt, criminal system that has taken away the choice and will of the people. Your vote is no longer safe, and neither party gives a crap about it. To them, it's all about keeping themselves in office. That's their first priority, and American taxpayers aren't even their second priority.

I didn't realize McCarthy position was on top of a house of cards either.

Just like our financial house, which will collapse sooner rather than later. I just hope I'm six feet under first.

Wow ,the rinos sure came out of the woodwork, Gaetz may not have the power for a good replacement because the uniparty is tough to defeat but I applaud him nonetheless

McCarthy is from the long line of GOP backstabbers who twist the knife and tell us things will get worse if we don’t support them. It’s abusive spouse politics.
