DeSantis says he would not serve as Trump’s VP

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a 2024 presidential candidate, said on Sunday that he would not serve as President Trump’s vice president if the former president asked him to be his running mate.
“No, I’m running for president,” DeSantis said in an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” when asked whether he would accept a theoretical offer.
DeSantis’s comments come in response to Trump’s recent jab at the other GOP presidential candidates, among whom Trump said he did not see a potential running mate.

Actually what the Constitution says is that if they are from the same state, then you don’t count that states electoral goes, but that effectively prevents that ticket since there is no way they’d win without Floridas votes.

It's a moot point. Either he or Trump would have to move out of Florida. He can't -- he's the governor -- and Trump won't.
Besides, being Trump's veep is a good way of ruining one's career.
