We used to stay over night at Circus Circus when my kids were little and we didn’t want to drive straight through to LA from SLC. A room was cheap as were the dinner and breakfast buffets. No more. Sky high room prices and sky high dinner prices. Lost Wages can KMA.

Signalman’s rule No. 14: Never trust what you read in the NY Times or the WAPO.
I was there for the NFL opening weekend and to eat Wagyu Beef at the Wynn with my girlfriend — the whole city has turned into one giant clip joint. Time was, rooms and food were reasonable because they knew you were going to feed your cash to the dealers and slots. Not anymore... It wasn’t that much this time.
Eating there used to be cheap. Now it’s expensive as hell if you can even find a place to eat. Last time I was there we did some stuff until about 9:00 p.m. We decided to get something to eat. We couldn’t find one place to eat. LAS VEGAS USED TO NEVER CLOSE.
Will corrupt Joe visit the picket line in Vegas?

They used to suck all of the money from people who thought they’d hit the big one and get rich. Stay in a nice hotel and eat well for short money..
Now you think about Hotel and food costs, and realize you’d have none left to gamble.
There are other gamlbling locations now.
You nailed my feelings exactly. Las Vegas isn’t Las Vegas anymore. It’s a joke. Damn, I remember the days in the late 60s when I’d come off the Colorado River and drive into Vegas for the night from Temple Bar. I’d park in front of the Golden Nugget, play a few slots and sit down to watch “The Dave Bunker Show” and drink beer all night.
The largest union in Nevada, is composed of mostly MIVs.
THOSE represent 60,000 votes-—most of them are here illegally.
